1) Have you both looked, in detail, into any and all anti-virus, anti-ransomware, anti-ANYthing software your PC might be running?
2) What version of the game are you running?
3) Does the game ever crash at all? If you leave it for a bit does it eventually result in a generic Windows crash (AppHang)?
4) Please provide your system specs: GPU, CPU, Operating System and 32 or 64-bit, system memory/RAM amount.
Sorry for the delay, been really busy with testing for the next release and refactoring some game stuffs.
I only downloaded the game the other day so I’m guessing it’s the latest version
If I leave the game stuck on the load screen for quite a long time it eventually asks if I want to shut the programme etc as it is not responding
If I try to close it before that my computer just freezes up and gets really laggy
Here is a link to my laptop
It is running on windows 10 though as I had the free upgrade ages ago (regretting it)

Also, where is your Steam game install directory located in comparison to your \Documents\Eek folder? Same drive/partition, or a different one? Do you sync any of your \Documents to OneDrive or other cloud service?
How about you? Integrated GPU or dedicated? An exact model # will suffice, thank you.

Everything is in my c drive on my computer
When I downloaded the game I noticed some parts had gone over to my onedrive but I moved everything to the c drive
OR, in your Start Menu/Task Bar, type "Device Manager" and open the Device Manager. In your "Display Adapter" category you will see your GPU listed.
OR, in your Start Menu/Task Bar, type "DXDiag" and when the DirectX Diagnostic tool opens, your GPU (and integrated GPU, if you have one) will be listed under the Display1/2 tabs where it says "Name:".
Where in the C:\ drive did you "move everything" to?
As for where everything is in the c drive
The game is in c/program filesx68/steam/steamapps/common
In that folder is the eek folder, house party data, house party application and unity player.dll
All of my other games are in the same location and work fine
How can I tell where it’s going wrong when looking at the crash files?
First, you want a file called output_log from this directory. Note that this file recreates itself (in other words, deletes the previous contents) every time you run the game, so if you crash you need to make a copy of this file immediately after. This file will contain some good Unity Engine error info and also a stack trace, IF it was a Unity or House Party-related crash.
You will also want the error log from the \Crashes subfolder (C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME HERE\AppData\LocalLow\Eek\House Party\Crashes). This will have additional info on the crash, but is a bit more general. It does provide more info about what was going on at a system level, however.
Finally, it helps to look at the output of DXDIAG.exe (run from the Start Menu). This will capture graphics card info, system data, and a summary of some recent Windows errors.
Again also ensure that the Steam overlay or any other program utilizing an overlay like MSI Afterburner/Riva Tuner, Twitch, etc. are temporarily disabled.
