If we hit this goal we will hire another developer to help out with the fine details of House Party and also start to put more development time into the game's sequel, "Office Party".

Maybe the dev's should concentrate on finishing what they've started. There are still a lot of unfinished gameplay to tie up, now that Vickie and Amy has been introduced. And the storylines of every person needs to be branched out some more, so that every choice determines alternate possibilities (just like Madison and Ashley in the beginning). The more diverse the gameplay is, the more people want to play it again.
I'm pretty sure they are. That's why they are saying they will hire another dev to work on Office Party. They've mentioned several times in this forum that HP is the priority.
I hope you are right. Because we havent' been able to finish Amy's sorority test yet, so we can have a "good time" with her. And Britney needs to be persuaded to some activity too. And a BJ from Madison or Ashley just isn't enough. We should also be able to do more with Stephanie. Texting Vickie eliminated a good time with the redheaded girl (i forgot her name).
Then you've got various food in fridge - for what purpose? I'll guess we'll see. And what's with that usb-stick?
Furthermore - what kind of fun is Derek going to have? And is Frank just going to be passed out for the rest of the party? And is Madisons cousin just gonna drink his way through the party?
I'm sure we will be able to have fun with all the girls by the end of the game, given that when you go to Vickie and say your ready to make friends, then you get a list of who you want to start getting more friendly with. But then to find out that's as far as Vickie's story goes right now.
As for the other things, I guess we will have to wait on future updates to find out what happens with them.
Probably House Party is too successful that delayed Office Party.
To be honest, I don’t think House Party has aged very well. While the game is better than ever today, it took a long time to get here. Some aspects, like the sexual encounters, still feel underdeveloped.
It’s not just about the sex itself, it should have more teasing, more build-up, a sense of progression. Instead, you end up doing a bunch of random chores and then BAM! it jumps straight to the payoff with no real tension or pacing.
I believe this is mainly due to the 'linear' approach to content updates, where they focus on adding new stories and features, rather than developing "systems" that could exponentially increase the amount of perceived content over time.
Well, look at the timelines. They didn't announce they were starting to work on Office Party in 2018. That's when they just mentioned in passing that it will be their next game. People assumed they were working on it because they mentioned it, but House Party was still in Early Access and still getting major updates and they were primarily working on finishing it up. House Party didn't officially leave Early Access until 2022, so technically, it's only been released three years ago, and they did a series of DLCs since then, probably working on Office party in parallel like the post above me says.
Everybody acts like they've been working on Office Party for 7 years, but they never said that, nor does that even make sense. I am glad they finished up House Party first, cause the game is in much better shape now than it was seven years ago.
I also agree though that Office Party will be a chance to fix a lot of the problems that House Party had, getting to the next post...
They've actually already announced a lot of what you are saying over in the Office Party forums. This almost sounds like you are quoting what the developer said about their approach... haha.
