How to deal with frank

I've made threads before asking about how best to deal with Frank. He's an excellent antagonist. Especially for a game like this.

I'm wondering what possible ways of bypassing Frank are available, what have been added, and what solutions could be added.

For example: Could I possibly sneak attack him by throwing the toaster at his head? Or just throw a punch at him? Maybe after earning his thrust I can drug him.

Or for non-violent solutions, maybe we could talk some sense into him. Could we lock him in the garage until he agrees to stop being a jerk? Or get Madison to kick him out. Or hell, maybe we could just call the cops on him.

And maybe after knocking him out we can loot the condom and weed from his body.

There are many ways to keep Frank out for being a party pooper, ranging from glitches, object throwing etc.

But at the end of the day, the most reliable method is to get Pattrick and your best friend to beat Frank up.

Here's the trick, you can actually get them to beat Frank without having to lose any bottle of alcohol/beer:

1st - have a talk with everyone in the party, and hear their opinion about Frank ( just a precaution).

2nd - go to the room next to Ashley's room (the room with the laptop) and grab the empty flask in there.

3rd - talk to Pattrick, figuring out how he manage to hide the wine bottle from Frank.

4th - Make sure Pattrick is somewhere out of the view of the wine shelf that Frank was "protecting", then go to Frank, tell him about Pattrick hiding the bottle of wine in his pant, frank will proceed to knock him out.

5th - When Frank is on the way to knock out Pattrick and not within the room, open the shelf, use the flask and fill some wine from Rachel's cup, then close it.

6th - After Frank come back, talk to Pattrick, give him the Flask with wine in it, he'll fight for you.

7th - go talk to Derek, let him know Pattrick is ready to beat up Frank, and watch them beat up Frank.

As for looting, you won't get anything out from him. If you already gave him 6 bottle of beers, then when you loot him, you'll only get 2-3 bottles back. My strategy ensure no bottle of alcohol go wasted on Frank.

If you set up the Stephanie "Playing Doctor" quest...you can make Frank knock himself out...AND loot both the alcohol from the cabinet and whatever he's holding. Condom (if that quest was started) and camera with Katherine's topless pics) if that quest was completed.

Basically, find out how Pat hides the alcohol (triggered when he's not near Frank and he's actually holding it). Then find the flask from the Study in the desk drawer, fill it up via the Thermos (make sure Frank is out of sight, Leah too) and then hand the filled flask to Pat, iirc this should then trigger the dialogue which allows you to go and call Derek to arms.

Major Spoilers ahead:
DO NOT give Stephanie the whipped cream or any booze. Amy may play out an animated sequence near her in the living room. Wait for Amy to talk to you about Stephanie and she mentions a plan using Katherine.

Follow through with "Get Katherine a Drink" quest to get the bottle of rum.

Add laxatives (from Madison's closet) to the rum and give it to Katherine, who will eventually get sick and go outside.
Lock the downstairs bathroom door (with the key from the garage) and wait for Katherine to run back inside.
Enjoy the show.

Loot Frank. [His inventory changes based on quests. If you are at the "condom" phase of Amy's scavenger hunt, this is the easiest way to get it, but not the shortest route. I'm not sure if you can get the weed this way, but possibly if you've already asked Frank about it.]

Talk to Frank afterwards (before he returns to his normal self) for some funny extra dialogue.

After the recent update, you can get far enough into Frank's quest to where you can berate him enough that he'll just have a breakdown and leave the party forever (there's an achievement for it, too). Then you just ask Leah if she's cool with everyone drinking and she'll give you the clear to do whatever you want.

Frank's battlecry before he charges the door to save Katherine is the greatest ever.

Personally I like to tell him that I saw someone with booze and then go wait in Madison's bathroom. Then after a minute when he shows up I real quick slide past him and lock him in. Then back to the liquor cabinet to tell Leah that Frank needs her, she'll run straight to Madison's room and stand outside the bathroom door. Then lock the door to Madison's room and now both of the booze-blockers are out of the way. Loot the cabinet for all it's worth and then let them out. If Frank is friendly towards you, he'll come up to you and say the booze is gone and to keep a lookout for whoever did it.

If you're not friendly with him..... well. get ready to catch a beating.

Despite common believe, throwing toasters or other objects at Frank won't help. Throws do zero damage. (Though, this is an important tactic when Frank is dancing on a roof with a snake. Oh well.)

And yes, you can beat him up without help or training. There is even an achievement for that. Maybe some of the steam guides help you with that. Yes, I also wrote one of these.

And concerning the concussion - there is someone that Frank likes, and maybe she will once face a locked door she needs opened for some truly urgent reasons. Hope that helps without handing out blattant spoilers :)

If you want to ease up beating Frank on your own:
- learn to dance better with Stephany
- sprint until your stamina improves
- have sex with Leah and also take her fighting classes

You can beat him any time, but the less prepared you are, the more tedious it gets.

there's simple way to "steal" booze early in the game. you don't have to "deal with frank" or get rid of him forever. try this (worked for me):

1) send frank to beat patrick (when patrick's outside)
2) make sure leah is not around the liquor cabinet (you can send her to investigate the house for drinkers if you're good friends)
3) take all bottles from cabinet before frank/leah comes back

later, frank'll tell you "booze cabinet has been raided", but he won't suspect you if you're great friends (or maybe just good friends?), he'll just advise you to "stay vigilant".

You don't have to give him any beer if u complete all the dialogue options with him and give him sunglasses.

I just started playing, distracted Frank by beating Patrick, and I raided the liquor shelves. After that, Frank attacked me. I was sorry to lose progress, so I took the fight and here are my working tactics:
You have to go outside, the best thing to do there is to start a dialogue leading to a fight. After that, start running away from Frank. I ran across the yard. When Energy is at maximum turn around and hit Frank 1-2 times and run again until Energy is restored. Punches at maximum energy do more damage, subjectively. Frank's humiliation takes 10-15 minutes of real time. Saving and loading didn't work for me, when you load, Patrick is there and does his deadly series before you start running. The process is actually pretty monotonous, make sure you turn on YouTube or an interesting podcast in the background. To avoid having to knock him out repeatedly, beat him naked (needed to hook up with Catherine) and don't cheer him up with a slap after he passes out. The achievement for beating Frank is less than 3% of the time. You too can turn a house party into a boring elden ring.

I miss Thief opportunity to take passed body and drop it in water, to kill it instantly.

easiest way imo is to get the bathroom keys, then tell frank you found someone with booze and set up the "sting" operation, then run up to the top floor bathroom, then when he walks in there, run out and lock him in the bathroom. Then just be careful with Leah, if she spots you grabbing booze she will warn you then attack, but besides that, drink away to your hearts content. Or just kite him in a fight, like 3 times, hit him, run away, bait the attack by running past him, then attack when he misses, then repeat until he gets knocked out. Then repeat until he stays down
