Censor or not?

So if i buy this game everything that is nudity,sex Etc.. will be censored?
And what about the people that had this game before it was removed to they still gave un-censored verison?

This is to comply with Steam's demands that we better comply to their Terms of Service, after they removed us without warning from the storefront. BUT, there is a 10-30 second fix we have provided that unlocks ALL uncensored content, no exceptions.

Everyone who uses Steam will at some point be updated to a version that has a default censor, but for those who have applied the patch, they only need to apply it once. In short, going forward everyone on Steam will be on the same page of being able to use the patch once and then enjoy all the content.

Wait. Where do I get this fix/patch!? I want full on sex action! Thats why WE bought this game. The world needs a post-modern LSL. This is the 2010s dammit. I can go to church after I play it and confess to lustful thoughts! My priest is real cool so he'll forgive me for it...

How can I block this censor thing that steam wants to stick us with? Any advice would be greatfully appreciated!

The file should go in the \Censorship folder. The default file that is extracted, "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.txt", with no other changes, is what needs to go in that directory. That's it. The game code itself looks for the presence of that file in that directory, so the file itself is not a patch. More akin to a .ini file or userprefs file in a way.

If you have 0.6.6, and run the game once, then the mods directory will exist, as will the \censorship folder. If you are running any of the most recent versions above 0.6.x the mods folder should be there, as we have been using that as a story save folder for awhile. When the "patch" is applied it will just look like a text file in the \censorship folder, like this:

so I went to Documents\Eek\House Party\Mods. There is no "censorship" folder. I only see "stories" did i do something wrong here?

Did you run the game yet? If you are using 0.6.6 but have not actually started up a story and loaded into the house (the actual game), the censorship folder won't exist yet. It is created as part of the mechanism that tells the game to look in that directory for the .txt file when loading up.

If you have run the most recent Steam version and still do not have the censorship folder to put the .txt file in, you can create it yourself. It might be a permission or AntiVirus issue that prevented auto-creation.

When I found out they were pushing out an update to remove the Nudity, I immediately disabled auto updates for HP, so I still have the fully uncensored version and don't need to download any other patch to undo the censorship!

Can I just say this real quick? the fact that the devs called the patch "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.txt" makes them the best devs ever lol
