Hey so I'm on the Egypt stage and for some reason I can't interact with anything or enter any buildings, is my game bugged?

Just a few things I noticed upon playing for the first time. -The game seems to be regulated to a small box in the center of the window. -When playing the intro fight against Dr. Cube, the screen around the small box is garbled. -There are these weird transitions that seem to happen in the corner of the screen instead of in the center. -There's all these pink characters with weird effects surrounding them. I'm assuming the pink characters are supposed to be the protagonists, but are the weird effects s...
