"Cannot reach Nexus Login server"
So I've been using the Nexus Mod Manager for as long as I've been playing Skyrim, but I seem to have a problem very recently and can't find any reason for why it's not working. Whenever I try to login so I can download mods, Nexus claims that I can't log in because either my Firewall is stopping me from logging in, or the server is down.

Now I've made sure that my firewall allows Nexus through, and I've ran it as administrator too to see if that fixes it (it hasn't). I looked online to see if the Nexus login server is down on their end, but it looks like it's up and running for everyone else (plus I can actually log in on the site itself).

Has anyone had any issue with this before? What would be the best way to fix it? I've downloaded a few mods manually, but some - like the Static Mesh Improvement mod - require you to set a bunch of prefabs in NMM. The only possible explanation I have at the moment is that my internet in my temporary accommodation is really awful, but I can't imagine it's so slow or so weak that I can't even reach the login server, especially since I've been able to download Skyrim VR the same day and download mods from Nexus manually.

Download the Beta version, fixes the problem.

I had the same thing before also.

Guys.. I LOVE NMM! But, Vortex is so much better. No joke. Once I got used to it, I'm not sure how I survived without it. Dont' be put off by the "Alpha" label. It works perfectly for Skyrim VR and even has a built in LOOT function. Check it out.

I have considered to try it. But how will it work when im on a playthough in skyrim vr with about 170 mods?? Do i have reinstall all mods again and start from scatch?

I THINK you can copy them over. There are a few threads about that on their forum though.
