edit: I'd also like some way to get the QuakeCon weapon skins (LG and 1 other I think) I missed because I was on holiday during those QuakeCon weeks. Again, I'm kind of ok with them remaining exclusive.
While Ruby won't activate even if you manage to get a code somehow.
There was also the NVIDIA railgun skin a few years ago that had a limited run, but they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the glass shader on it so it's pretty ugly IMHO.
edit: saw the belt buckle. still doesn't seem like it'd be a hassle to remove though.
The Ranger Gladiator skin (which I really wanted) is obtainable by the second code which is also tied to the early access version of the game, and includes the Champions Pack and some loot boxes. Because of this, I don't think that code works anymore, since the game has been out of early access since 2022 and that may have screwed the code up (that's my best guess anyway). It might have still worked before that date but sadly, I think the Ranger skin code has expired.
And to answer OP's question, yes, I would love to see that happen one day for the items in question.
It should have been Steam inventory, which can be traded on Steam market. Solves many things. Limited time items can be bought, or sold for a lot of money. Both parties win.
- AFAIK they never wanted trading in this game, and they certainly don't want now
- This game wasn't originally on Steam.
There was a recent discussion about it:Having Steam backgrounds would be nice, especially when they can be made available solely through Steam points nowadays.
