you may meet this kind of net code cheaters
there are now players with all kinds of net code chaets . i reported a guy 3 times and nothing was done. for example player has" lag switch" cheats where i get DDOSed or something like that. even disconnected . he can block my movement or weapon switch supressing input. they spam packets so hard you are like under water ! and he gets a lead. he has faster reload time and shot rate. also he can jitter his position making server hit detection system confused .postponing hits ot discarding them at all!
amatures in dev-team(if there any) cant detect them and nodobey processes reports at all. the game is dead and the anti cheat department is non existant. considering that QPL is online and even offline tournaments are kind of on internet servers. you can forget about taking this game serious as a competative esport.
i cant record my own expirience as it will hit the performance on my PC too hard

sad is that once great game developer is now the worst one. packet thrtotling should be autodetected . and game shouldnt be so easely hackeble.
but there is just no developers. insted of processing reports there are coplr bots of forum trying to make look like there is no problem. you are 1 of them. so you are the part of the problem!!!

Not sure what a "coplr bots" means
...but if you're trying to insinuate that I'm trying to pretend there is no problem then you need to re-read my post...because I'm clearly saying that I think it's sad if people are playing in this fashion...I'm not denying it...I'm condemning it.

If you're referring to other posts I may have made then I stand by the fact that most accusations of cheating are unfounded...because they are ! Which is NOT the same as saying there is no cheating at all.

If your rig sucks so badly, you cannot compile a video, maybe that's part of your problems.... I've got an little i5 w/gtx1070 and do it fine here all the time... Posting video@240+ fps.

I've seen the second hack being used perhaps a few years ago once, maybe twice. But certainly never often, and only once that I can actually remember. The hack in the first video, I've never seen ever, as it would be obvious.

I play from servers here in the US, so I'm speaking from that perspective only, I don't know what others experience in other far flung regions of the world. But certainly, I'm not seeing any "hacks" deployed on public servers here in the US, not now, and not more than once or twice, in the past.

I'm not saying it's not happening, but in my experience of over 1500 matches, I've only seen it once, (maybe twice) and it's been well over a year or more since I've seen any of them.

yes in US there is always less cheatetrs so maybe you are partialy right. but in eu its a horror. and its on top of bad servers...
one more time. in video is just an extrime variant that should have been 100 procent autodetected. but its not... most use speedhack 3-10 procent and in bursts. very hard to prove and very hard t oaim persone that jitters. but even reports are ignored!!!! i am not the only one saying that.

I'm not "protecting fail-team" my position is:
...I've played Quake since Q1 and I've played QC a LOT !!!
...I really like QC, it's my fav game right now
...I appreciate it has it's problems and that some players don't like the champions dynamic
...I do enjoy the champion dynamic ! (whether you believe me or not)
...I've never cheated at QC (or anything else) and think that people that do are total losers
...I've been accused of cheating about 7 or 8 times in QC now which is why I say (and know) that most accusations of cheating are false...almost every time I've been accused of cheating it's by a player with hardly any game time who just has no clue how to play Quake
...that does not mean that I don't think cheating goes on
...the video you posted (which I believe Frankster also posted in a previous post) was what I described as an "eye-opener" in this thread and in the other one
...there was another video showing Rapha dueling someone that he believed was cheating
...so I'm not saying that there isn't cheating going on, just that it's rarer than a lot of people make it out to be

These days (I used to always give the benefit of the doubt until I saw a couple of these videos) I'd say I'm "suspicious" of something (almost always LG usage) in about 1% of games

I don't know for sure because there is always that "what I saw might not have been what the server recorded phenomenon" but I must admit that I'm very suspicious.

do you understand that NA is a small place both population and terrytory-wise compared to the rest of the world?
and about you two. you are payd bots 100 procent. you are instantly answering in ALL topics. no real persone would do that. and you clearly try to downplay problems, sift the blame and advertise QC like not only a disaster but like its good))) i(like many) play QC just bcs q live does not have standadised game modes and maps now + even less players. we just dont have a choice! but the situation did not have to be that way. if managment cared about quality of product at least a tiny bit!!! correctly dpent resources and good work would put QC in fps leaders/ but its a disaster and its a fact!

Sometimes you should switch off auto-reply, the video was posted January this year and user (not even the one who posted the video in the link, but the user who actually recorded it) even explains the hack, why it works and what limitations it has, in a comment in Russian which Google Translate can easily interpret:

i can see when the players is good and when he is moving 800+ unit speed)) do you? do you see damage rate in video? its so obvoius ANY anti cheat would detect it if it existed!!!
That turbo-lightning is such an easy thing to fix. You couldn't DO that in the old Quake games because all the weapon timings and damage functions were run server side. Looking at that first video, this is exactly why servers need to be the deciding factor on weapon behavior.

There's also an easy fix for deliberate packet lag - forced disconnects. If the client's connection appears too unstable you drop the client. Someone with a legit bad connection will get dropped, sure, but that's going to happen at some point anyway and they should be playing on a better server. It would also kick the hackers. Speed hacks? Yeah, that can be tested with server-side movement simulation. If the vectors go too far out of spec you flag the client and auto kick/ban.

Those are all very easy to fix. It's sad that nothing is being done to correct it.
exactly! and everyone says that. but they didnt want to put any effort. they just dont care.or extrimly unqualified. game does have potential. but they focused on all the wrong things.
