Black screen + crash

everytime i launch the game theres a black screen for around 1 - 5 seconds and then the game crashes
ive tried to reinstall the game, verify game files and launch the game with full screen optimisations off and with administrator as well as windows 8 compatibility mode but nothings worked

but the compatibility test download button doesnt work? I dont know if its just me being stupid might be it but when i click on download nothing happens

i5 7400k 3.00ghz 3000Mhz 4 cores
gtx 1050 2gb
16gb ram ddr4
OS: windows 10

Sure sounds like the anti-cheat that that churchofquake page should help you with. I get a unsecure warning when I try to download the compatibility test, but I think you can override it and download it if you choose to. Things like Logictech mouse SW, MSI Afterburner and a bunch of other things trigger the AC.

Jesus, I heard it doesn't work from Chrome, but now I see why: the damned button is http (and not https). Try downloading this way, works for me from Chrome:

Alright thanks to ciklotron i was able to actually use the compatibility thing and apparently it was due to cheat engine, even though it wasnt running. I uninstalled it and now its not showing on the compatibility app but now i have a different problem

basically im trying to get rid of interception.exe but it wont let me:

On that churchofquake page, it says you need to dl and run interceptor.zip if you can't remove interceptor.exe - did you try that?

Sorry for 'dl' I mean download that zip further down the page and run it. It should help you to remove interceptor.exe

I've done that, but it comes up with the same message

So, I don't know dude. Check out your task manager, if you see InterAccel, Interception, or Interceptor dll running you need to figure out a way to uninstall it if you want Quake Champions to boot.

ah alright thanks for trying, but even this walkthrough just doesnt work for some reason, when i try to drag the folder into the cmd it doesnt do anything

tbh i think i give up i might just go try buy quake live
