yes, the do...sure... xD
@kluader: try quake champions...it's a free 2 play. on youtube you can find good tutorials
If you're still interested with Overwatch, I'd suggest trying both QC and (especially) Team Fortress 2 as Overwatch is kinda similar to Team Fortress 2, but characters have special, active abilities like in QC. TF2 is also free 2 play so you can check it out easily.
I second this. In Overwatch you will always be limited by the rock paper scissor drafting. It's essentially like a first person moba, only with a minuscule fraction of the roster mobas sport.
However, Quake can be frustrating for newer players, because many of us have been playing for many, many years, literally decades in some instances, such as mine. Despite this, there are many outstanding world class players who are young and competitive.
Hahaha ha.... good one
If you get hooked and wanna keep playing the game and wanna learn more, I recommend watching some YouTube tutorials and reading up some guides. Rocket Jump Ninja used to make some neat videos that you can watch here:

Frothy also made a couple:

Though keep in mind that most of them will be of older versions of Quake Champions, so don't expect everything to be 100% the same (like the Railgun doing more damage when scoped in for example, that was removed recently).
I never played Overwatch, so I can't say if it's actually any good. But if you can try it out for little to no risk, I'd say go see for yourself. You never truly know if a game is for you until you play it. :p

Played overwatch, I'm not going to be one of those that get livid just from hearing the name, but I will say it's not a 100% skill based game. Most of overwatch relies too much on timing, team sync, and team composition. If you like the rock paper scissor type game with heavy bases on when to mash your skill button then that's a game for you.
Be a twitch FPS gamer and that game will pull whatever skill you have and throw it into the trash bin (There are a few cases such as widow maker that does reward good aim and fast response though).
Quake among many other FPS titles out there rewards the individual player if they have fast response time and good aim. Overwatch waters it down and relies on other methods of approach for victory.
Why it's popular could be the 50/50 ratio win rate matchmaking they try to go for, the colorful pallet that's easy on the eyes similar to team fortress 2, the moba like class system, fast matches for impatient gamers (like me depending on the day), the absurdly good optimization, the marketing resources Blizzard has, and obviously just being a "Blizzard" title.
Fans of blizzard are like apple fans. Loyal to the bone.
Quake has a fanbase but most are of a older generation and even those that are interested are more harsh on what they want/need in a future quake iteration, thus the smaller active population.
That's my take anyway, i'm no statistic guru.
I have 8 GB RAM and GTX 950 (2Gb). Now i prefer Overwatch, because it's have no FPS drops or freezes as QC.
