I highly doubt your mouse pad is big enough to spot someone on the corner of the screen and flick rail them fast.
Also you will get to a point where your Rockets suck cause the enemy will move much faster then the speed at which you can aim well also Lightning gun its true is better at low sense but you get to a point where its too low that you will shot even lower %
And the final and most important thing is Stamina, the top players play mostly 20-30cm/360 with some at 40cm/360 and they have the ability to play high intensity and high level Quake for hours, at that sensitivity you probably will fade before youve even played an hour.
Quake requires 10 times as much mouse movements as Overwatch/CSGO in every mode thats not Duel.
Basically there are no rules, use what works for you. Just gotta be comfortable with movement as that is just as important as aim in Quake.
I try to compensate by using a 70x50cm mousepad and probably buying a 90x45 one soon. thx for the info , am still trying to decide.
Sure but at some stage you will get to the point where your hand and or shoulder either A gets injured or B just cant sustain the effort. This is a high intensity game, Just watch the speed in the movements the best players play at. You won't be able to keep up. Gaiia has a easier time in CPMA because half of the skill is fast air movement and less about fighting multiple targets one by one or at the same time from multiple angles.
Most would suggest 20-35cm for Quake, a couple top players play at 10cm/360 and their LG is all laughable for a pro level player, Rail not very strong either.
Woah...
I do like ~3 360s in 10cm.
That said my aim is really off, because I haven't played any fps games for ~2+ years. Even then I am doing pretty fine. But when I played hldm on daily basis, my sens was somewhere near my current setting, and I had a really really good aim.
And, yeah, Strenx use 69cm/360
Ah I get it now thanks man
