How to collect the Event Challenge gifts?

With the new season you can now also collect gifts by completing Event Challenges... these mostly consist of becoming a "<WeaponName> God" 25 times... and yield XP or Crystals or "Gift Boxes"...

How exactly can I check and collect these gift boxes?

(Or are they simply added to the unlocked stuff for your champions?)

When you finish these challenges, you get solid gold shaders for the weapons they correspond to (notice how the shotgun, nailgun, and MG all have two rewards). You don't have to do anything further after that.

Ah... I was wondering how I got those gold shaders. And you get two such shaders for those double-weapons, i.e. MG and HMG... makes sense. Thanks.

Sigh... just did more grinding for this season to see what the "2nd" gift box for the Shotgun God Event Challenge would be... hoping for some nifty new shader. Alas, forgot about Shake's above comment. Since I have the Gold shaders since season 2... there really is not that much point in doing them again, alas.

Tons of XP as reward (or obviously platinum) would be more nifty IMO instead.
