is it possible to play this game in a low end pc
Is there any way to mod the config files to increase the game's performance in a low end pc / latop?

How low end we talking?

I play this game on a daily basis from an older Dell G3 laptop, i5-8300, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1050 Ti (4 GB). I do not say it is absolutely fantastic this way, as everything is set to low, and while the resolution is 1920x1080, the rendering scale is lowered to 50%, but at the end it runs at 140-180 FPS.
But, it really matters what you call low-end.

That's pretty impressive actually. You've got all the minimum requirements covered well enough, and you're keeping it above 120 fps, which is really what's needed overall.

I didn't realize people were playing from laptops on an ongoing daily basis.

That said, the minimum "playable" is going to be something (equivalent) to an Intel 4 core CPU, or greater, 8GB ram, or greater, and 2GB of video (preferably 4GB) on Nvidia 9 series card or higher. Without meeting those spec's, I wouldn't bother trying.

It might run on something less than what's quoted above, but it' won't be truly playable, or remotely competitive...

The video uploaded for VODA in an earlier topic was recorded on this laptop.

I run it with i3 7100 cpu, 8 gb ram and Nvidia gtx 1050. 60hz monitor, i asume i play with disadvantage, but game runs "smooth" all setting at low, few freezes but yes i can run the game.
Try yourself, its a free game, install and test how it runs. and Have fun.

If the computer can run windows 10, it can probably play quake champions.

Win10 works well with Intel integrated graphics, QC does not. It runs actually, but it is slow, 20-30-40 FPS with terrible graphics (25% scaling of FHD, everything low). I tried once with my office laptop (HP EliteBook 840 G3, i5 something, 32 GB, generally an okay machine, just not for gaming).

Not quite, not only for the above reasons, But also that memory requirements are only 1GB for 32 bit, 2GB for 64 bit.

My wife's Win 10 system runs (very well) on the following: It could never run Quake Champions.

AMD A8-5500 (2012)Trinity Quad-Core 3.2GHz (3.7GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 65W AD5500OKHJBOX Desktop APU (Radeon HD 8550 Graphics) (CPU + GPU) & 8GB DDR2-533 (PC2-4200)
