Death Knight's ability OP?
For me it seems that death knight's fireballs are just like sorlag's acid spit but 2 times more powerful. Never had a hard time playing against similar skilled Sorlag, but know i'm getting killed with fireballs like 10 times in a single match. Feels ridiculous how little of a skill and precision it requires to get a kill with it.

It is not so powerful. 150 damage in the close battle - yes, a DOT - yes. But not everyone can use it in the right way, it is not press F to win. I think it is relatively OK.

It is OP and will be nerfed for sure, it's just the matter of time. Just look at it:

- 150 AOE burst damage at close range.
- At least 50 damage from dot ticks.
- Close to instant cast.
- Obstruct you screen (when you go on fire).
- Lowest cooldown out of all champions (30 sec).
- Can be used both defensively and offensively.
- Can prevent people from getting powerups (unless they are overstacked).

This ability is just like Sorlag's and Slash's abilities combined, but better. And the champion itself is optimal medium tier (with 100 base armor and 310). So whoever will tell you it is not op is either noob or braindead, probably both. You can simply see in in TDM matches - people spamming it for cheap easy kills all day. And you are also immune to fire from other DK's firetrail (just like Sorlag to acid saliva from other Sorlag), so if enemies aren't DKs - feel free to spam until Bethesda fix it. That's pretty much how it is right now.

P.S. My solution to it would be
1) Drastically increase cooldown of it ( to 45-60 seconds).
2) Reduce tick damage to 25 or completely remove it.

This will make it still strong enough to use, but not absurdly OP how it at the moment.

It's way stronger then when sorlag's ability was fresh. It's going to get nerfed into the ground, and rightfully so. If you really like this kind of op ability, you probably love games like overwatch and are not really a quake player.

It wouldn't be so obnoxious if the strategy of the developer wasn't so obvious. I.E. Step 1: Release relatively OP Champion (but not so out of control that it won't have defenders). Step 2: Sell a bunch of them and make your money. Step 3: Nerf Champion 1-2 months later when you finally want to balance the game and you've made most of the money from that Champion. Step 4: Repeat with new Champion.

Countless other games have done the same thing, over and over. Welcome to the new world.

My thoughts exactly. Kinda tired of this bs already. But this is just sad reality.

Pretty nice champion. It does not seem like a terrible op. Yes, it has a strong active ability, but it is slow to the other. It is a joy to play with him. I like to see the burning BJ :D

Sorry, I have the pack. How much it costs to buy a champion?

800 Platinum each champion. As for real money rates - you can just see it in game browser, depends on region i guess.

I haven't played the game since the patch, but it's classic F2P shenanigans to make the new hot item OP so everyone buys it and then nerf it when the sales die off.

What a perfectly ignorant post!

Well said.

Thx. Ok, the strategy is well known, but (almost) nobody will buy a single champion for $6 while Champions Pack is existing.

This is how it works: free to play or starter pack players get rekt with the new champ -> they get anxious -> they buy champ pack -> profit.

Oh please he perfectly counters every single champion in 1to1 encounter around corners without the need to aim the ability even. Add to that u run around with shotgun and your basically immortal and dealing 250/300 damage instantly with a point blank shotgun.

Maybe it's just me/my settings but what's up with the flame damage animation when you get hit? It's embarrassing. Flames made out of big square pixels and takes up half the screen. Or is it supposed to be a retro looking thing?
