Any particular starter that you favor?
Default shotgun is probably the best.
If you're good at staying on target machine gun.
If you're good at leading nailgun. I consider nailgun the worst but I still choose it from time to time for certain characters.
Shotgun - Versatile, powerful, arguably better than the pickup version in some ways. Can go toe to toe with many of the pickup guns. If you just need to kill ♥♥♥♥, here you go.
Nailgun - Good at close to medium range, good at helping you survive due to free area denial off spawn, and can be used to pull off map movement tricks, especially with Nyx. Probably the best but also the most skill demanding.
Single barrel shotgun all the way for me. I would get mad at myself when I picked up the double! You couldn't use the single anymore. Without a doubt, single barrel is a better gun as long as you hit them, hit them, hit them, hit them.
It's a good finish gun from medium distance.
Shotgun - powerful, accurate, can do 90 damage at close range, shorter reload than the double-barrel. THIS is your bread and butter. anyone who is half-decent will run this starting weapon 90% of the time.
the only downside is the tiny 10 shell count, but if you wasted them all without getting a kill and picking up a good weapon. then you deserve to die.
hell, its still useful after picking up a better weapon because you can always switch back to it to finish enemies off or fight at close range after the enemy got too close for your railgun or rocket launcher
Nail spitter - it's like the MG, except it does 1 more point of damage per shot. the tradeoff is that the projectile travels slowly, its easy to miss and and can't hit diddly squat in long range. GARBAGE.
never seen anyone run the starting nailgun
Ahh, did not know you lost a frag for that since they changed the warmup method. Thanks!
