Will there ever be a Instagib ranked mode?

I find every other mode too slow for me, feels like i gotta wait 30 minutes to respawn, it feels like I use my entire arsenal to deal 30 damage to someone. I enjoy either killing, or being killed, in the blink of an eye, and when you are killed, I like instantly respawning. This would be great ranked, no?

Instagib started out in Quake as a means to practice up on RG shots, nothing more. It was never really competitive in any real organized way here. Keep in mind there were no rating systems back then or duel either, everything was clan type team play.

However, it has evolved to have somewhat of a following in it's own right, so your opinion is very much valid. It's a good idea. Just trying to give some backstory and perspective on why it's not considered competitive here already, if your not already aware of it's origins.

I suspect counter-strike or something similar might be a more logical choice. It certainly will have much more players.
