how exactly is Scalebearer fair?
i mean, lets ignore that he has more HP and armor than most other champs yet still the same speed. his power is such BS that even keel looks humble in comparison.

at any time during the fight he can suddenly turn into Super-Sonic and kill you simply by touching you.
you can't dodge his charge, he has full control. so even if you jump away he just instantly does a U-turn and run you over.
his fast speed also mean there is no way to kill him in time before he reaches you, and if he is stacked enough he cannot be killed before he makes contact.

so how is he fair and balanced again if he has an ability you can't counter?

Of course can you dodge him. Or play as Nyx and get invisible when he charges. :)

I dont get how people complain about one single champions or ability, more then half of them are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OP which would make most on par.

I hit Scalebearer like his a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ school bus, his that big.

You know what I really think is nasty about Scalebeare's ability? It's not the ability itself but the netcode. Most of the times when he kills you at high speed on your end it looks like he hits you before he hits you.

Scalebearer is easy to hit. As a thumb of rule for playing against all tanky champions: Keep them at distance and bully them with railgun.
If you see a Scalebearer charging at you use rockets to slow him down. Depending on his gained speed lg can help, too.
Position yourself near a teleporter or somewhere where you can drop down or otherwhise escape so he can't hit you with his bullrush. Also you can rocketjump over him when he is running in your direction.

Scalebearer is by far not op or unfair. You just don't know or aply the right strategies against him.

He's probably the least played champion at the top level and is considered bottom tier.

His hitbox is gigantic and he melts to lg, also the charge is useless in close combat because the damage it deals depends on his speed. If you let him run for a while and gain speed it hurts a lot, but if he just tries to randomy do it point blank it deals crap damage.

Because of this, he has to start charging at medium distance where you have plenty of time to react with a rocketjump, or just dodge him which is definitly possible. The only place it's really good is in tight corridors where he can start charging behind a wall before you can see him and you can't get away. Just gotta avoid getting ambushed in those places.

If you're stacked two shotgun blasts point blank will put him down, with maybe a couple mg rounds.

certain champs counter his ability pretty well. nyx invis, doom double jump, slash backwards crouchslide or trail, ranger orb, etc. If you can't counter him with an ability, you can try rocket jumping as well. Sometimes you'll just be in a ♥♥♥♥ position though and will have to take it, but that's why positioning is key in this game.

It wouldn't be bad if only 1 out of the 4 players on a team could pick him but you can litreally have a team full of Scalebearer lol.

Good thing you can switch your champion during a match.

Scalebearer is a tumor that infested the game, it's like the P90 in Counter Strike. Totally unfair, cheap tactics, only used by the worst players to make themselves think they're worth something. When in a skill based arena shooter a guy can survive 4 rockets with full armor and hp and others die from 2 direct hit, it's horrible. Scalebearer main plebs using lightning gun only is the worst.

Nyx can run rings around Scalebearer if played properly.

Most Scalebearer players, myself included, tend to make great use of his passives. Not just the one where he deals damage on contact, either. He has a hidden second passive ability where his speed increases the longer you run forward without strafing, up to a maximum of 500 ups. This lets him seek and destroy other players with minimal strafing required. The best solution to countering him in this situation is to use high knockback weapons to stunt his momentum. Weapons like the lightning gun, rocket launcher or tri-bolt work well.

Also, because his contact damage is pretty high, he can just bump you and then shoot for a quick kill. 25 damage minimum, with damage increasing to 75 the faster he's moving. With this in mind, finding high ground works well against him and his active ability. If you can afford to rocket jump away, doing so will completely neuter his charge's effectiveness.
