How to unlock characters?

How to unlock characters for good (not for 24 hours only)? Is there a way to do it for free?

You have to wait for the next patch where they implement the new "store system" and how you actually can spend favor and shards in a new way. Then you will be able to permantly buy champions via favor. Not possible at the moment to unlock any character for free.

I have a Friend who got 3 extra Champions alone from the Boxes he got for buying the Scalebearer pack. What a lucky guy...

But to be precise, does anyone know if they only drop from Relics?

It's possible to unlock them via lootboxes as legendary drops. Got Visor and Strogg today.

I just came back to this and after second match I unlocked Doomguy.

Sorry for being unprecise. I linked "free unlocking" specifically to spending favor because he was mentioning the 24 hour trials. Ofc you can get drops from the respective lootboxes but you cant unlock champions permantly with favor atm.

I meant to get Doom Slayer yesterday, but instead I got chests.

You can also get platinum in daily rewards, it would probably take 8 weeks to get the champ you want

Not directly, but though exceptionally rare it is possible to get a champion from a backpack, which can be bought with favour.

I mean due to my daily life it is impossible for me to log in daily at the same times because i dont have the means to subordinate my life to a freaking pc game :> Nice profile pic btw, is it your own brachypelma smithi?
