Raw mouse input
Need an option to turn raw mouse input on/off. If i want to play games without raw mouse input then i have to navigate windows settings, turn off "Enhance pointer precision". Doing that every time i want to play gets annoying.
No i wont keep that settings off because then mouse movement is awful while just browsing the web n' whatnot.

What kind of mouse do you have?

The only time I've had a mouse feel terrible with enchance pointer precision off were with cheap mice with garbage sensors.

My zowie ec2-a isnt exactly cheap.
With precision on my mouse has acceleration(obv) and a noticeable delay, unplayable.

Well, then don't use enchance pointer precision, which is acceleration.

That mouse shouldn't be having issues with that setting turned off. It has the 3310 sensor, which is a great sensor. What do you have the sensitivity set to under Windows? What do you have DPI and polling rate set to?

I dont think you understand. With precision ON i have issues, with it OFF i have 0 issues. Its just that i have to navigate to that settings every time i want to play, i cant pin it to my taskbar or anything.
With that off my mouse is just inaccurate when im browsing the web. I like it a lot more with that setting on for that.

OP is talking about basic mouse settings, that most competitive shooters allow... except QC.

+1 for OP. Or at least give us a console damnit -_-

I'm sure a feature like that will come eventually. Enhanced pointer precision destroys games. Until raw input comes to QC, learn to use your mouse with EPP disabled. That's the first thing I change when installing Windows. Also, find a cpi that you are comfortable with in windows. That's about the help I can give you.
Also, check out MAT (Mouse Acceleration Toggler)
http://www.dcmembers.com/skwire/download/mat/
Might solve your issue.

I do understand. But you shouldn't be having any issues with the setting off permanently. You shouldn't be having any issues with accuracy with it off, unless you have a cheap sensor... and you don't. It seems like you have something set wrong with the mouse, or you have a defective sensor.

Incorrect information here. QC has faulty form of direct input in it because you actually regain some preciseness by lowering the texture percentage thing.

Out of all games, QC also has the most floaty mouse input. Doom 4 (2016) has precise mouse input, especially when running thru Vulkan API. Quake 4, Quake Live and pretty much every idtech engine based game (Rage 2011) is alot more accurate than Quake Champions that runs on SaberTech by Saber Interactive. Quake Champions also originally supposedly failed on raw input implementation because by some bad coding, devs claimed to get higher input latency with that ON than by QC default (direct input).

There has also been countless threads about this extremely long lasting mouse input issue that QC has had since it's beginning. Reports have been made about this issue, including by myself.

Sadly, as you might know if you have been longer with this game. Developers have been ignoring this issue for the longest time.

I made a steam and bethesda thread about this issue included. Consider sharing that thread for added visibility to the problem for the generalpublic and userbase of this game to know about.

Same here and thus I highly urge people to not pay for this game because otherwise it will only reinforce the devs to continue the kinda sloppy way they have been leading with this project.

Incase they get paid while issues actually remain unsolved for months(years even), theyre bound to not change their ways. Currently they get paid without doing a thing to improve the most important things first and instead have a completely wrong order of importance on the game's bug/issue list.

are you having problem with rubberbanding, people teleporting and extreme lags? besides the performance drops sometimes atleast for me...

What in the world are you going on about?

I'm saying that the OP should not be having issues with enhanced pointer precision off in basic applications, like a browser... I have no clue what tangent you are running on about.
Hyebri Jun 21, 2018 @ 11:32am
Its just that every slight movement moves the mouse a lot. I prefer enhanced pointer precision on. More accurate.
