Some of them are as thin as a sheet of paper after 1 rail anyway (looking at slash/anarki), also their movement makes up for it. Tanks can easily take 2 rail hits in stead of one then.. would be better imo.
Ie. One of the big problems in the balance right now is that the tanks are so beefy, they can just charge off the spawn regardless and probably get the kill on a freshly spawned weakly stacked player.
The problem the weak champions have is that they can't necessarily rush the same way a tank can into enemies, with nailgun/rocket launcher, due to the self damage they will take.
Especially also ranger here can take much bigger risks due to his passive ability, armor off spawn, which just leads to mindless rushing and free rewards all day. So giving the other champions another increased powerful weapon to fight off anarki/slash/nyx that needs to fight the long distance game to make a comeback, is just a bad idea atm.
Tho they might as well just do it, because the tanks are so op atm why not just screw it over some more.
Their movement does not make up for it, especially after recent nerfs. They are now sorely left in the gutter. As if they werent already.
The good news is that the game is now quite sadomachistic to play with anarki etc, as you'll have to do 4x as much dmg to each tank to get a frag. Skilled matchmaking and all. Being forced to go with nailgun off spawn that will do damage to yourself if they charge into you, and you have no armor that defeats 2/3 of inc. damage off the spawn like they do.
So just starting with 0 armor is actually much worse then what it seems to be at first glance.
You should be on the development team DCR, your so knowledgeable about all of this. Someone like you could get this game sorted out correctly.
Hardly for just pointing out what is the logical reasoning based on playing the game extensively.
Tho that is a thing in other titles, it doesnt seem the case here they would have such a budget.
If they hired more staff that be nice. That does not however seem likely. Alltho maybe something will happen after doom eternal.

On what planet do you live that reducing the htk increases the aim req, even more so for hitscans.

Yup, my favorite of all Quake :) I've played a lot of 1 and 3, but 2 was always the best.
I wouldn't say Diabotical will be promising though, it will if it gets a large dedication, but yeah hopefully it's not gonna end up like Reflex Arena, UT4, and most arena shooters... still wouldn't abandon QC for it though as both games offer different mechanics
