Fix Respawn countdown timer when Quad is active
This needs fixing. Lately I get the Quad, get one or two kills, then everybody disappears. Now I know i can't see the whole map, and hiding from the Quad carrier is the only real strategy in some(most) cases, but I tried it as visor, and it seems people are waiting for the re-spawn counter to max out and drop them back in. Its half the quad timer at this point!
If the re-spawn countdown is supposed to be a penalty for you/advantage for the live opponent idea, then why can I hit space and re-spawn immediately? I almost always fast re-spawn in-game, so re-spawning immediately is actually an advantage/leveler. I frag a guy/gal(get fragged); they(I) immediately re-spawns; finds me(them) with low health, and gets even. This Negates my(their) frag, and drags my(their) K/D down. Then I get the quad, and its the opposite... there is no-one to use it on.
FIX?
1. reduce the re-spawn counter altogether to 1-2.5 second(s) max.
2. leave the counter and the space bar bypass alone, but force a re-spawn to match the timing of your last (pre-powerup present) re-spawn bypass, whenever a power-up is active with an opponent. Include an ominous announcer informing people that their respawn has been forced! something like "forced respawn imminent" (post your ideas here...) players heartbeats will go up!
3. eliminate the bypass and reduce the timer by half permanently.

Actually, I head toward the Quad carrier, but that's just me. A glutton for punishment I guess.

yeah but not everybody can rush the quad at 500 fps frankster... Maybe the sight of Clutch with the Quad just scares the little ones...

Yea, well I usually am playing BJ, if so, I usually enable my ability when engaging a Quad carrier, that way I've got some chance to dislodge it. Usually, there are a few other brave souls trying to do the same.

What really sucks is when you actually do succeed in getting it, and your stack is so low, someone just takes it away again.

Yeah we are discussing that issue on my duplicate thread, same title. The revenge frag, happens with or without quad. I propose boosting the number of health + near spawn points, gives the fragger a better chance of recovering before a fresh spawn revenge frag by the fraggee.
Playing as clutch I really notice a difference in the "updated" shield nerf. I USED to be able to shield/rocket/gauntlet rush a quad carrier with fair success. Now with the nerfed shield it is not worth it anymore. The "new and improved 40% damage reduction" makes little to no difference in outcomes when rushing a potent Quad carrier.
