Alternative games to Quake champions?

I dont like this game very much, too much lootboxes and the ping usually suffers

There are hundreds of arena fps on steam, but for user activity in multiplayer, none of them compare to Quake Champions.

Check Diabotical , it may come this year , the closest i found and still have a community that you could play with , is titanfall 2 (yes i know it is not an arena shooter )

lootboxes don't interfere with the gameplay? make sure you have the region set properly to sort the ping issue.
i suggest sticking with it, as it is actually a really solid classic FPS.

Toxikk is a little underwhelming (lack of maps, netcode). I liked Warsow..

Or play the old Quake 3 Arena. It makes much fun. But from the old day. Not high End graphics or something. But with Promode oder OSP Clanarena it make realy much fun :) And it cost nothing. GOG Quake 3 Arena Gold. Test it :)

None of these alternative suggestions are good - I can't believe someone suggested paladins as a superior afps - ffs

Stick with QC - nothing else is worth your time in afps other than older quakes.

As much as I like 2GD, I just can't see diabotical being any more successful than relfex, nor do I expect it to be released this year.
