I have tried to fix this problem with compatibility and admin settings on the exe and so on but nothing works. :(
I was beta tester and the game run well with the bethesda launcher. I have no idea whats the problem. :(

great, i know that there's a lot of cheaters. for this reason bethesda added anti-tamper security methods and have taken actions to significantly reduce in-game cheating and exploits. This added level of protection will continue to strengthen over time.

They recommend that any users experiencing issues disable third-party software while playing; in particular, any software that attempts to integrate with our game by creating overlays or performs keyboard or mouse automations.

Some GPU “tuning applications such as Riva Tuner or MSI AfterBurner may cause compatibility issues. If you experience gameplay issues, please disable these applications while playing.

but com'on the resolution is worst that the cheaters problem!

BETHESDAAA MOMEEENTTT!!! :steamfacepalm:

Only way you can play is via a vpn or get lucky with the beth launcher, sometimes the game works with this pile of ♥♥♥♥ client.
Maybe it din't work for you but it might work for OP. You can't say it won't work bc it worked for lots of people having this problem.
This is the mose cookie-cutter set of fixes I have seen on this forum. You obviously copy pasted it from somewhere on the internet because it is so generic and non-specific. It's obviously not related to any specific culprit. However, I don't blame you, since some tard at Methesda decided to hide the error messages behind a bug report box, so none of us will ever know what is causing this. I'm gonna say it loud and clear for everyone in the back of the room: "Bethesda sucks".

Dunno if it helps, but i couldn't start either and thought it was alot of hazzle above, didnt do any of it, i only verified my game files and that didnt work.

Then i turned off Steam Overlay and "Discord Overlay" and the game started with no issues.
I honestly find it super pathetic that the game crashes from having an innocent overlay hooked to it.

Client-side anticheat software should be illegal. I don't care what you say. It's anticonsumer and it's disrespectful and it doesn't even do its job right. Cheats are never going to go away.

Any idea of when they will let Steam Overlay work again? If ever??

If you use anti-virus software then check it isn't preventing the Quake Champions executable from running. I previously had the Avast anti-virus software decide that this executable might be malware and so disabled it (in Avast terms it was moved to the "virus chest").

In my case I told my anti-virus to restore and then ignore the executable and it has been fine ever since.

I have uninstalled avira. I have no anti-virus software installed at all. still doesn't work. drivers are up to date and windows service packs are up to date.

Are you seeing an "Error code 104" at all ?
...if so it might be to do with the firewall and this old post might help:
"Error code 104 in Quake Champions results when your connection to the server is blocked.
The following troubleshooting steps should help resolve this error:
...Forward the required ports in your modem / router's settings.
For exact directions on port forwarding your router, please refer to your router's manual or website.
The following ports are used by Quake Champions:
UDP 48800 to 48900
TCP 11700 to 11725
Add Quake Champions and the Bethesda.net Launcher to your exceptions in your firewall and anti-virus software. The application can be located at C:\Program Files (x86)/Bethesda.net Launcher\games\quakechampions by default."

If not that then I did see something on Reddit where they mentioned that Windows "Test Signing Mode" causes problems...I don't use that myself but if you do then try switching that off.

If you use a external program for your mouse, like Intercept Mouse Accel Filter, QC don't start.

Is very sad, because this program helps a lot to tune your sens and aim.
All other games don't have problems with this pogram, only QC.
And all this other games don't have cheat problems, or his developers try to approach the cheating with smart solutions, not like Bethesda.

It's time to delete Quake Champions and let it go men.

There's a great world of many other games better than QC.
Is sad, I know, but Bethesda don't want to do a god job like others companies.

If you want to check what program don't let you launch QC, download this program and execute it.
It will show up a windows with all incompatilibity problems that you have.

thx for your help guys, I'll try some of the suggestions later on. gotta do some work that had piled up during the week now.

ok update: I right click on quakechampions.exe and under properties/compatibility, set "run this program in compatibility mode for XYZ" and then set your type of windows. That at least helped to start up the game much more frequently than before. I also always start it by double-clicking the qc.exe instead of pressing play in steam (but you must have steam running already). Seems like voodoo to me but it really helped :D

This helped me
Apparently my antivirus didn't trust QuakeChampions.exe
Other solutions maybe: https://churchofquake.com/wiki/trouble-shooting-crash-to-desktop-issues/

In my case, AutoHotkey prevented the game from starting. As soon as I turned it off, game runs fine.
