Vulkan API support?
Hey. I am a guy who does like the game, but I'm on a massive budget. I do have nice hardware, however, I cannot run the game at 60 FPS without massive stutters, and other issues even at the preferred Auto Detect settings on.

I do have DOOM, and it runs fluidly, amazingly, 60+ FPS on High settings. Full 1080P too. I had it on Vulkan, so that's why.

However, Quake Champions runs like doo doo on my computer. I have two concerns:

1. This game isn't really optimized well.
2. To expand player base, and to also make sure more people can actually play the game correctly when they buy it, please make a port to Vulkan, or any other less taxing API. Because I have eye problems, and anything under 100 percent resolution scale is really taxing on my eyesight from far away. So my proposition is, when the game launches for a full release, I hope that more stuff is added to the game, balances, and maybe some API ports to Vulkan so people like me with good budget cards can play the game as it was intended.

Vulkan API +++
all devs must use it
I believe they will implement it until release
on a massive budget with nice hardware...
I'm on a budget too with 90-125fps @ i5-4460 with radeon rx 480.
Better FPS than (openGL) Doom for me.

There are performance problems in quake. The longer you run it, the worse the stutters get.
I restart the game every few games, that helps. I hope they fix those stutters soon, as restarting the game is not a solution :(

I also believe they said somewhere that Vulkan support will come, but later on.
Vulkan is confirmed. They're already working on it.
The devs said Vulkan is almost ready, they are already using it in their builds.
Hopefully it comes out with the upcoming patch.

I think it will still be a little while. They do have a playable version, but that doesn't mean that it's stable enough for release.
Just watched a video presentation on Vulcan development. The speaker was one of the devs from ID software. So I'm pretty sure they are up to speed on Vulcan.

Well we can thank whoever decided to use the saber engine instead of the superior IdTech 6 engine for not having vulkan
I have 120+fps on nvidia+intel. Don't know what vulkan is and why should anyone bother with it. I beleive game devs have other high priority tasks to do and fix.

Not all players are happy owners of GTX 1080 :steamhappy:
