Option to disable the HUD or Photo Mode?
The game looks gorgeous and I love "clean" screenshots without any HUD or UI getting in the way. Is there an option or console command to disable the HUD at least temporarily?

My thanks in advance!

There isn't really something like a photo mode but you can hide the UI and do some other stuff like that using the dev cheats.

If you go to the options menu and type "thisisnotsupported" (there is no textbox or something like that, just type it out) you should get a notification that dev cheats were enabled. You then have a new dev submenu in the options where you need to enable "advanced dev options".

Then you can use "," in a level to hide the UI. You can then also use "i" to enable infinite zooming, "P" to pause the game, "Z" to disable camera boundaries, "N" to lock the cursor, and "O" to lock the camera.

Found nothing conclusive online and the only instances in which the HUD is not visible, is in the first few seconds before players take control during missions. Really surprised that no one on the dev team thought about allowing us to enjoy those beautiful maps without so many tooltips and reminders popping up constantly. Can we at least hope for the disable HUD option in a future update? The sooner, the better.

Really, no input or suggestions at all? I can't be the only one desiring a HUDless experience in Desperados III...

That is very useful information indeed. Will give it a try today and offer feedback ASAP.
Cheers!

That's an awesome find. I knew of the developer options from digging through the code but I haven't got to the actual command. Now since it's known, I looked further into the code and found that it can be used as a launch argument as well. Another useful launch argument I saw is -ignoreapplicationfocuschange - to make sure the game does not get paused when out of focus. The other launch options are intended for the non-release versions.

The Dev Submenu method works flawlessly, it's going to help me a lot with some quality screenshots for my profile and review. Thank you once again, Tatsuya Shiba!

Take care and stay safe!

Out of curiosity, does doing this disable badges or any other progression?

It doesn't seem to be considered cheating, but I haven't tested it extensively and the game's Steam Achievements are quite hard to unlock anyway. My advice would be to disable the HUD for a few screenshots during a certain mission, then exit and restart the game without using the dev submenu if you want to "play it safe".

The "normal" cheats will disable badges but the dev cheats won't. It's a bit unfortunate since enabling dev cheats also enables the normal cheats but I guess there really isn't a way around this. In the end anybody with some game hacking knowledge will always be able to instantly unlock all badges anyways.
