S Rank cards?

Since know these are the best cards, am wondering are they random drop or do you have to do specific things like DW8 (not just on highest but also doing specific objectives on certain battles per character)?

I have no idea, playing on chaos doesnt even seem to yield better cards either. There's no replay mission option either so if character cards are locked to certain parts in the story its going to be very frustrating

Chaos difficulty for sure. Also, probably specific missions like the ones giving hi quality cards. There is also the trial enemy in the recruit missions which I believe drop a good card on kill.

Random drop on Chaos, but I've gotten A rank cards that are better so it's all RNG.

Despite chaos mode capping the recommended level of most maps level 50, I feel like they invisibly level beyond that point.
Grinding out extra loot on some of the final battles on chaos seem to give the best cards compared to earlier story fights.

Timed pop-up battles however, the cards seem to be of poor quality even on chaos.

Ok seems like there aren't any specific requirements like the ultra weapons in DW8, but really jsut luck of the draw or Yukiho's proof in being able to create by just combining three A cards.

Where did you get your A card? Hard/chaos mode? How high is the chance of card rank up?
I have been trying to get B cards from C+C+C, probability seems extremely low. 10 tries, not a single rank up loaded data 3x. Can be considered as 30 tries, only gotten 1 rank up to B.
Don't have many A rank to try, I feel it will be low probability.

The chance of just getting C cards is high, no matter which you use. You can get A cards from stage 2 and 3 requests and higher level battles (can get some in normal, but higher difficulty has a better chance due to higher level cap).

you can get A card and S card from stage battle An Awakened Evil difficulty Chaos (yomi story)

i get 170 card
