Legendary+ Weapon is what exactly?
I beat the main game and am doing the DLCs and the 2nd masked vendor has an option to upgrade a weapon once or something if it is at least Legendary+ (I think he says it needs at least one +, so could be ++ or +++ too I guess?)

Also I got a sword quest from the goddess statue that requires you to use a Legendary+ weapon to complete also.

I have a Legendary sword, Tyrfing +9. I tried looking it up online and people seemed to think a +9 Tyrfing was considered a Legendary+, but when talking to that masked vendor it still is blank and doesn't show up as a Legendary+.

When upgrading at the blacksmith there is an option to Evolve the Tyrfing again into Tyrfing for 500 of something (Murmurstone maybe, i forget). Is that what makes it a Legendary+ or is there some other way? Thanks!

So about the offer of the masked blacksmith: When upgrading a weapon from +0 to +9 its stats will increase. Each time there's a maximum amount you can achieve. Whether you hit that max. amount depends on the the quality of your smith. It's the 2nd of the two probabilities shown when upgrading. If you've missed out on some stats along this way, the offer of the blacksmith comes in: It will set the stats of the selected +9 weapon to it's maximum.

You can only do this once for free, though, so use this opportunity wisely. You'll be able to do it later again, but it will require serious amounts of Ultana coins.

If it doesn't show up in the menu you either have it equipped or it already has max stats, not sure about that part.

Transforming your Tyrfing again changes and maybe increases its stats a bit, but also sets it back to +0. It's generally a waste of time since you want to use it to create a much better Paragaon Weapon. In general, doing quests for the goddess statue can give you lots of pretty awesome gear.

It's been a while since I last played it, but if I remember it right the path to a "perfect" Paragon looks at follow:
  1. Get the Paragon Weapon
  2. Reforge the Paragon
(optional step for all weapons except for Shields and 1H swords I think, since those two gain new stats they don't previously have)
  3. Awaken the Paragon multiple times until their max stats are achieved
  4. Upgrade to +9
  5. Upgrade to +20
  6. True Awakening (adds an aura granting a buff for the whole party + adds a visual weapon effect)

Except for step 4 all that is achieved by doing goddess statue quests.

Ok, thanks for your detailed reply, Azuron.

Yeah I had it equipped. Didn't know it didn't show up at the masked vendors menu window if it was, don't think it says that anywhere, haha. Thanks!

I'm guessing I'll just use that 1 time upgrade for the Tyrfing since it's probably the best thing I can get until I finish a goddess quest and get a Paragon weapon. Unless it also works for Paragon weapons and I should save it for that I guess?

Oh yeah and if that 500 material Evolve thing at the blacksmith reverts it to a +0 I don't think I want to do that, thanks.

Yeah... transforming only works with unequipped stuff as well, though the game doesn't tell you that.

Not sure whether the blacksmith service works for Paragons since I pretty much wasted this opportunity as well. You could try saving it for step 4.

Then again, the enemy you have to face to get the 1H-Paragon is a fair bit stronger than the monsters you have to defeat for the other Paragons. So a decent +9 Tyrfing certainly can't hurt.
