Is it worth to buy this in 2021?
Hello guys, sorry for the noob question. now finally I can have a computer which can play SAO games after a long time. There are a few mixed reviews in the reviews section.

How do you guys think about this game? is multiplayer really online with players? if I use a standard keyboard and mouse, is it still fun?

If the answer to the questions above is "no", are there other SAO games that you would recommend to me?

I am an SAO fan, so I can tolerate bit flaws. but if they are too much, I would rather not taint my impression of SAO.

Thanks in advance.

The game doesnt follow the main Story line of SAO because it plays in another work i would recommend this game the main story are kinda easy but once you get in the DLCs it gets really interesting and challenging
yes multiplayer are with other online players even tho no one seems to be online all the time but i would play with you if you want to
i also played through the whole game with mouse and keyboard since you can customize your keys you can play however you like

Hey man thanks for the answer, I don't mind the game not following the main story since I want to play an SAO games because I want to "live in aincrad" rather than just "rewalking" the main story. from what u say I conclude that this game selling point is on singleplayer right now right.

Thanks for your offer mate, I think I'm gonna buy this game now, but tbh I play rarely on weekdays, and most gaming time in weekends only. but, if we got the the time and change, let's go gaming :-D
without a controller this game is terrible. with one. its pretty decent. the control scheme on m/kb is super weird.

I think it's a great game. It looks very nice and runs alright--but, the controllers are some of the worst keybindings I've ever seen.

The game is amazing if you can survive the annoying-as-hell tutorial.

i recommend u play this game using a controller, the reason being on kb/m to move to camera u have to always be clicking the right mouse button. This game doesn't have a new game plus nor multiple save slots like Hollow Fragment did. So if u are like me and want to play again from the start you will have to delete ur save file.

Another issue i had is when the game crashes during the tutorial when u visit the hubs other than the central one and the park. This had to do with your antivirus. for me after disabling kaspersky and excluding the game from being scanned fixed for me.

The story is easy but the DLC's will get challenging. Especially the Enigma Challenges.
