Where is the Restored Golem (Castle Artarium2F)
I got a quest telling me to defeat a Golem on the second floor of the first castle. The thing is I cannot find it. The only place I ever saw a golem like that was earlier in the game where it was blocking the path.
However it cannot refer to the same golem as the quest appeared WAY later.

Does anyone know where exactly this mysterious golem is supposed to be?

Edit: i got a similar problem with a big green tortoise in Stragerzeet spring btw. - I have yet to see even a single one of them spawn there.

I had this issue, Had to turn down the draw distance from high to medium because monsters weren't spawning correctly. I think the game is trying to moderate framerate by reducing spawns? Spent a fricken hour trying to find them and similar with the void beasts and massive tusks, began showing up like clockwork as soon as I tweaked the graphics options.

.......... are you actually serious? that's just... I don't even know what to say to that... what the hell bandai... just.... what the hell? I've been running with max draw distance since I started and I remember this stupid golem being a pain in the ass to find. To think the draw distance would reduce the spawn rate... completely bonkers lol...

Dead serious, the Massive Tusks and Void Piercers were also a huge PITA until I dropped the setting down. I'm guessing it's a side effect of it being a console port?

another issue with the golem I noticed after going back to that map is, even at medium view distance, he didn't respawn after being killed and he only spawns in that one spot. I ran around that map for 20 min trying to get him to respawn and he didn't while the slimes in the same area were respawning. So I think the issue OP was having is that one if the ai controlled "player" party running around the place kills the golem before you can get to it, you're boned until you relaod the map(either that or the respawn time is ridiculously long, longer than my patience) . I've actually run into the issue of "player" ai killing the stuff I need quite a bit, really wish you could turn them off tbh...

I don't even know where it actually is.
There is a mob with a similar designation that I actually found there so the quest might just be buggy and is asking for the wrong mob.
Do you by chance still know where the quest target is supposed to be?

Sorry I've been distracted the last couple days, but if you still need to know where he is, I've taken a screenshot

if he's not there when you get to it and there's no npc party around, kill a bunch of things and he'll spawn. If there *is* a party of npc's don't bother and try again some other time, they probably killed him already.

thanks,
and for everyone else having trouble with this: Apparently there is a whole bunch of them in the desert later on in the game too.

There are more of these later on but sometimes mobs from 1 region won't count for the quest of a different region. aka if the quest is from the desert, going back to the plains for a mob won't count, and I would imagine the reverse is also true.

Huh?
Up to now it only counted the mob name for me rather than the specific region. - I'm still on the main story though.

All I can tell you is when I was doing jeweled peaks lakes (I think it was there, could've been the desert but that wouldn't change my point) and they asked me to kill some "salty crabs", I went back to the lake area in rustoria plains region because it's full of those crabs and when I killed them I did not get any credit for the quest...

If you meant a different map within the same general region, then yes they would still count, but trying to get credit for a rustoria plains quest by killing things in the desert likely will *not* work if the game is consistent in any way for how this works.

Should't be the case. I went back to the Rustoria area and to find that Golem a few times and each Kobold I killed in the fortress counted.

well file this one under "this game has some weird ass bugs or it's mechanics are inconsistent and make no sense" cuz I know for a fact my kills were not counting....
