The censorship question answered

Can finally give an answer to this matter being talked about at release

There's a scene in the game where Kirito enters a bath and there's a female NPC there. In Japanese versions of the game a patch was released so that the woman was apparantly wearing a bikini to cover everything up, this was done following an age rating dispute with the CERO, the Japanese equivilant of PEGI/ESRB, who felt SAO was targetted at children and teens and as such under the countries laws must remove/edit the offending content.

I can confirm this version of the game is the original EU/US version in which the woman is visibly naked but her nudity being barely covered by some soap bubbles which is how the scene originally was for the game

So there you have it.

Steams version is not censored

Still nothing really great to see Not like Asunas bath scene in the movies BluRay release (google it)

Also, the scene where Liz and Silica put on some skimpy outfits to increase sales at Silica's store is uncensored.

Both of Kizmel's bath scenes are uncensored... and by that I mean she has bubbles lol... both Kirito and Asuna are wearing a towel (two seperate scenes, one with Kirito and one with Asuna)
