PC vs PS4?
Which would you recommend? Which one would have a larger player base for some coop and dueling?

I would recommend PC if your computer is decently strong (recent). You basically get the game for 10$ less than what you'd get it on the PS4 for. Plus it includes the DLCs that you would've had to pay for.

So PC price is just one cost of 49.99$ USD so far.
PS4 price is 59.99$ + whatever the cost the DLC is because it's not included in the base game.

The thing is though is the playerbase large enough on PC for Coop and duel, that is what the OP is asking. And I fear the console playerbase will be way larger then PC one as it has been released there for some time now. And most fans of the series probably picked it up there.

I have the PS4 version. I owned it since it came out and I can tell you this. its basically dead. yes you can find people on there but the odds they won't have a password protected lobby is slim to none and if they do they may be somewhere far away were the ping is horrible. This game has multiplayer but I wouldn't buy it for that, however if you do and you want to know whats bigger I would bet 100k that it would be pc,

I would prefer PC. The most people have a PC. On PS4 you have to buy a PS membership to play with other player.

I have the Vita version myself and played this game on my PSTV with ease, I was hoping that the controls would work as a normal MMO on PC with keyboard + mouse it would be doable with ease, but unfortunately control is a mess, game itself runs and looks quite decent, but the textures are imo still DX9 looking, while it runs on DX11.

The game is only $60 on ps4 if you're stupid enough to buy digital on console instead of physical like you should on those platforms. Shop around online and you'd easily find it under half that for the disc.

I was able to find the PS4 standard physical edition for $20 some time back and recently started playing it (very fun!) only to find out a PC version had just been released. Now I'm debating whether I should buy this so I can get the season pass content and access to what I'm expecting is a livelier multiplayer scene.

Anyone know if this version comes with any extras you wouldn't find in the standard + season pass on PS4? I was on the fence about picking up the season pass on there but I'd be pretty ok with just cutting my losses and switching to PC if I'll get more out of the game there.

No the game doesn't come with any extras aside from higher resolution support and other techincal stuff. Everything included in this game is what you'll find from the Standard + Season pass PS4 version.
