Here is the fix to controller not working

1. make sure your controller is working correctly in general
2. run steam as administrator
3. go to your steam settings and find controller, and go to general settings and enable xbox controller (try big picture mode too), and then restart steam and game
4. make sure your controller is set to X mode, for some it's on the back of your controller for others it might be in the middle top, or even in driver's program if there is any

Yeah seems like the devs stumbled onto some glitch with Steam somehow

Thankfully doing this should resolve this so you never encounter it in the future.

Not working for me it turns the controller on but most of buttons are wrong or dont work at all and i tried x360 pad xbone ds4 heck even some generic garbage i had in my closet none of them work properly i tried diffrent drivers difrent big picture controller configs admin on off permisions so yeaa just a "TINY" glitch who the hell even makes steampotato controller as the default one and not the xbone/ps4 wich is used most its hilarious.

Say what...? you do relize there is nothing at the back of DS 4 or any xbox controllers no idea what you mean .-. ?

for mine its in the back, for others it might be somewhere else, but look for switch that has two different modes X or D, it basically changes how the inputs for the keys

There is nothing like that on a xbox360 controller i can assure you.

Indeed if you have a switch at the back then you have a fake 360 controller. It seems that this game does not like wireless controllers at all. Wanted to buy the game aswell, but with all the nonsense about the controllers no thank you. Bamco needs to put out a hotfix monday to fix this.

If nothing happens, try to right click your Steam shortcut > Properties > Compatibility and uncheck all and apply(For me unchecking works and for others checking "Run as Administrator" works too!)
