[SOLVED] Stuck on loading screen
[SOLUTION] Apparently, BitDefender was doing some kind of interference with the game and its action prevented me to play. Maybe it will work with someone else too like it worked with me and ChibiDude :D
Kittimaru also discovered that allowing the entire SAO folder with another antivirus lifted the problem, so making the game an exception may help even those who doesn't own BitDefender :)

-------

Just after entering Town of Beginning and being tasked with a tour of the city with Asuna, trying to travel to the market area and going to the scene view trough the park, the game stops during loading and completely freezes stopping music, just to restart the music a bunch of seconds later while still being completely stopped. Even trying to load the saved game from the main title screen gives the same effect with a mid-loading freeze, stopped music and then music with the game still halted.
Has somebody encountered this problem too?
Any advice about it?

EDIT: I exceed the minimum requirements on the steam description, I can play the game well during the full tutorial, but in case someone may need it here's my pc specs:

OS: Windows 7 64bit
CPU: AMD A10-7870K Radeon R7, 3.90GHz
RAM: 8GB
GPU: Radeon RX 480 (Driver: 17.7.2)

EDIT 2: I tried different actions as possible fixes, but without any changes in the situation. Here's a list (look also at ChibiDude post for other informations):
- Run the game from folder
- Run the game as administrator
- Re-install the game in same folder
- Re-install the game in different folder
- Run game in lower graphic settings
- Change into windowed mode and into fullscreen mode
- Restart the game (and so deleting the stuck record)
- Changing course of visit (market first/park first and then view/park and then market)
- Checking Steam cache for corrupted files or similar
- Downgrading my GPU driver to 17.5.2

EDIT 3: fixed the title and the text of discussion since it's not actually a "crash" of the game but a "stuck" or "freeze". My bad.

Just when i was entering the market area my game crashed, being stuck in loading screen.
Music came back a little later but i was still stuck, not even being able to close the game via alt+f4 or task manager, not even tabbing out..
After restarting pc and the game and continuing the save file it instantly crashes in the loading screen, leaving the music, same as before.

OS: Windows 10 64bit
CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 (3.20GHz)
GPU: Geforce GTX 1060 (6GB memory)
RAM: 8GB DDR3

I am currently trying the fixes that worked on most games in the past but so far nothing..
(Assigning highest priority in taskmanager, launching the game from folder, launching as admin, installed the direct x that is delivered with the game, installed/repaired microsoft visual c++ 2013 wich is delivered with the game, lowered the settings of the game to minimun, changed from full window to borderless to windowed mode and so on :/
Hope there will be a fix when i wake up tomorrow

Yeah, I tried some of them without result too. Thanks a lot for the update on your situation, I really hope in a quick fix for this :')

I really hope it is just a missing dll or smth like that..
It´s such a trivial thing most of the time x.x
Well, never play on release day, eh?

The fun thing is that a friend of mine bought it too, and with a pc set almost identical to mine he can run the game well x'D

I have similiar specs as NoxFurva, even worst CPU (A10 6970k) with same GPU and RAM.
My game launched and managed to play smoothly, tried to help her till now with standard resolution stuff like game cache or uninstall/install, even tried an SSD drive, but nothing worked.
Will be waiting for a fix.

Oh yeah, my game runs on a SSD as well.
Trying to update my direct x 11 now.
The game ran just fine in tutorial and stuff aswell, but after entering market it completly broke and cant even be loaded :P
I wonder if i can still start a new game?

I tried starting a new game. You can, but the same problem still occurs.
Nomad Oct 27, 2017 @ 1:31pm
You probably can but it will fail on the same point, probably.
Changing the course didn't work for Nox (Going to market-view-garden or any other pattern).
Snakeplit Oct 27, 2017 @ 1:34pm
Ok direct x seems to be on newest version, installed newest geforce experience and game ready drivers aswell :/
Nomad Oct 27, 2017 @ 1:36pm
Yeah + info for RX 480 Users who might be having the same issue:
My game runs fine in outdated Radeon driver 17.5.2
NoxFurva is testing 17.7.2

Snakeplit Oct 27, 2017 @ 1:43pm
Okay in windows 8 mode nothing changed, gotta wait for a patch or someone whos really good with computers and fixes it :c
Nomad Oct 27, 2017 @ 1:44pm
I'm on Win7, didn't have to comp or anything. Nox is testing right now.
