I understand that, I'm asking about migrating from Game Pass to owning it on PC or platforms like Steam.
That already didn't work for me with Gears 5.
I doubt that because I specifically said your microsoft account. You can be logged onto a steam account without a microsoft one.
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Psychonauts2\Saved\SaveGames
File names are -
P2ConfigSaveSlot.sav
Psychonauts2Save_0.bak
Psychonauts2Save_0.sav
Psychonauts2Save_A.bak
Psychonauts2Save_A.sav
steam_autocloud.vdf
If someone wants to recommend an upload site I can upload my saves for testing
Thanks. Looks like no luck, files in the wgs folder are named like
containers.index
container.17
container.17
and a whole bnuch of random numbers and letters without an extension. I suspect these could be packed up "regular" save files, but I wouldn't know how to access them, I couldn't extract them.
I then went to the steam folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Psychonauts2\Saved\SaveGames\ and deleted the file "Psychonauts2Save_A" (SAV file).
I pasted the copied file from the Game Pass version into this folder, renamed it"Psychonauts2Save_A.sav" and boom - it loaded it up.
Good luck!
