Agent Ford's Mail room lever glitch

I could use some help, I've been trying to find some sort of page to post on and haven't found anything relatable.

I'm in the mail room in Ford's mind (where he's a giant robot sorting mail). I come to the first electrical lever, and the option to pull it down just doesn't show up. I'm playing on xbox btw..
I've tried restarting the game multiple times, going into other people's brains, going into different areas, even dying and using all of my candy. Nothing. Any ideas?

Huh, this was explicitly mentioned in the patch notes as something that should be fixed.
Either way there are 2 workarounds. First if you have the levitation jump upgrade you can apparently just make it high enough to grapple onto the nearest thought if you time the jump right while the mail is descending.
Alternatively if you enter via the collective unconscious you'll start back at the start of the level, and you can just jump down to the stamp things way below and continue on from there.

OP commented that he was playing on xbox. I assume they haven't gotten the patch yet.

I have this issue on the gamepass version of the game as well. And while Gamepass has some great features, updating and patch notes aren't on that list. Didn't think about restarting using collective conciousness, that's a good idea. I've been softlocked for about a week now.

I believe the trigger happens if you pull the lever then quit before it can be saved. My guess is that the flag that says "lever pulled" does get saved but everything else gets reset, so the mail goes into the abyss but you can't pull the lever to redirect it again. Just a guess.

There's a patch going through Xbox cert right now. You'll have to wait for it to clear, probably next week, and the level issue looks like it'll be fixed.

Glad to hear it! Which one did you end up using?
When it happened to me people were only saying the levitation one, but since I was in the unconscious to get old stuff while I waited for a path I just went back from there, leading to the other option.
