This game doesn't have a permanent "point of no return" like the first game did. But you will be unable to collect items in the old overworld. The ottomatic and brain tumbler will be available in the new area though so you can still visit minds and buy stuff.
There are a few Achievements, however, that require a second playthrough if you missed them the first time:
- Objection! (I think this is missable, anyway.)
- Duck, Duck, Goose
- I'm Always Here For, You Darling!
Sorry, you will be unable to return to the old overworld. not "be unable to collect items in the old overworld". I phrased that wrong. You will be able to return and collect any items you did not collect earlier.
I only did a single playthrough and I've got all achievements.
