Game won't launch

The "preparing to launch" window disappear after a few seconds when i try to launch the game, and then, nothing happens.

I checked the intregrity of game files, running it as an admnisitrator with compatibility mode as well, i reinstalled the game, i reinstalled steam itself, i cleaned steam cache folder, i used Codec Tweak Tool to see if this issue was caused by the cutscenes of the game not being able to launch, but still nothing. I tried contacting Focus Home Interactive support few days ago, but didn't get an answer yet.

I know a lot of people had a similar issue running the game with Windows 7, but I'm using Windows 10.

I was also able to play the game before the dlc and the Golden Edition was out. So, yeah, i don't really know if the new version of the game somehow broke for me.

Any help would be appreciated, i'm a bit disappointed not being able to play the game. i really wanted to try the dlc.

EDIT: I figured it out. Had some extra dll files in the game folder that were preventing me from launching the game. Don't know where they came from, but well... Deleting them fixed my issue.

i have the exact same issue, an have tried a lot of things. could you please give me some advice on how to fix it?

For me, deleting some dll files did the trick. Don't remember their names (one of them was named Ori something), but basically, right now i have : Engine.dll, Game.dll, steam_api64.dll, SteamEngine.dll on my game folder. Maybe you could try to check if you have extra dll as well?

1. Go to - Games / steamapps / common / Greedfall / datalocal -
2. Delete absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ E V E R Y T H I N G but the "globalsettings"
3. ??? (???; because I have no idea how '2' helps, but it does somehow)
4. The game now somehow stops having a seizure every time it loads up
5. Profit
