Vasco's romance not triggering, despite correct dialogue

Hi!
I've encountered the problem that Vasco's romance isn't triggering for me. I'm 100% certain, I picked the right dialogue choices and he's friendly with my female De Sardet.
I'm playing GreedFall on stream and finished "The Sky's Teeth" last night, so I'm pretty far in and don't wanna restart. :/ And I completed Vasco's companion quests pretty early on, so I'm not sure anymore which save would be right after completing "Forever a Naut".
Is there anyway to still trigger Vasco's romance or should I just try to move on to Siora or Kurt (which would make me pretty sad, cause Vasco is my first choice...). If I weren't playing it on stream, I would have restarted without hesitation.
ALSO: I only see indicators next to dialogue choices when it's a skill test or an option to bribe, no hearts or anything else, like I've seen with other people. :/

I'd be grateful for any help that doesn't involve restarting the whole playthrough!

I'm not sure there's a way to trigger his romance so far after the fact if it hasn't already triggered. Are you sure you picked the right dialogue options after each of his quests?

Pretty sure. But I must've picked something wrong... Oh well. I still have the final companion quests left for Siora and Kurt, so I might choose either of those two. Even though it's sad, I'm not gonna get Vasco. Next playthrough then!

Have you tried talking to him while you are inside one of your residences? Or at the "in between" camp (with the merchant and the tents, when the next map is loading). I went up to him just to have a chat and got his romance dialog in that camp.

I've also read online (don't know if it's true) but if you've already romanced someone else, or you turned Vasco down previously, you won't get the dialog. Sounds like you haven't done those things, though.

Yeah, I tried all that. Didn't work :/ I guess, I must've picked a wrong dialogue choice at some point. Doesn't matter. I finished the game with a Siora romance instead. Might try another playthrough, though.
