The Trial of Waters

I have hit a roadblock in my game. I have done all the main quests (aside from ToW) and all the side quests, including all the available companion quests, but I'm stuck at the 'Wait to meet a member of the Council willing to help you' portion of the quest. I am on friendly terms with the natives and have received the title 'Carants' from several of their leaders, yet I'm left with nothing to do, now.

I've gone back and spoken with several clan leaders and there is no option to get their seal so I can move forward with the quest.

I am loving this game and this sudden wall is rather disappointing.

Same issue, all I can do right now is just grind or play something else.

Same issue. Apparently it has to do with investigating the Didri Ruins and reporting to Constantin BEFORE doing the Bridge and Theleme (Sp?) Governor's quests.

Hello !

Sorry you’re experiencing issues with the game.

There is actually a known issue with the "The Prince's Secret" and “Trials of the water” quests. Where the former does not get triggered, and the latter requires you to have finished "The Prince's Secret" and the following quests to continue.

To avoid the bug, you must do the following:

When reporting to Constantin, if you've talked to the two governors and explored the "Did e kiden nadaigeis" ruins, AVOID talking about the ruins first, you HAVE to talk about the governors first.

Make sure that you have unlocked "The Prince's Secret" before continuing.

We are currently working on fixing the issue, but until a fix is pushed to the players, the only way to dodge the problem is to go back to a save where you haven’t yet completed “Mystery of the ancient ruins”.

We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm 28 hours into the game and had done everything else available to me before I attempted to start the 'Trial of Waters', I have no save I could use and I'm not going to restart and play another 28 hours to get back to this spot.

I hope you guys find something soon, because this killed the game for me and I was really enjoying myself - and raving about the game in forums/social media - before that. Consequently, I have changed my review to a negative until the bug is fixed.

exactly the same problem here. Can´t continue my game. These kind of bugs shouldn´t exist after release. Very bad. I hope you patch it immediatly

As is usual for RPGs I just rotate through three save slots. I don't have any that go back before the completion of the 'Mystery of the Ancient Ruins' quest.

After 33 hours I am now at an absolute standstill.

Is there an ETA on when this game-breaking bug will be fixed?

Theres an upcoming patch that was just announced, involves "quest debugging". Im assuming (and hoping) that the bug will be included
