Dialogue Cutoff

First of all: great game! I had a ridiculous amount of fun playing, it is definitely one of the best games I ever got my hands on.

But to get to the point: while not experiencing any other bugs whatsoever, the dialogue in the game seems to be cutting off towards the end of sentences. When entering conversation I have noticed that there often is a slight delay before people start talking, and it appears that they are then missing that time towards the end of their sentences.

It is not exactly a major problem for me personally since I play with subtitles on for medical reasons and can therefore just read what they missed out on, but since I am not entirely deaf it sort of bugged me out anyways - it is certainly one way to pull you out of the role playing experience.

So, if someone finds the time to take care of it, it would be much appreciated.

Doesn't look like it. I recently checked on Nexus if any smartypants had made a mod for it, but no such luck.
Everywhere else I looked people disclosed their system specifications and never heard back on official channels.

Real bummer if you ask me.

Well, I can't promise anything, but I did have some luck in limited testing where I was experiencing this problem on Xbox One X. I'd had the game installed on an external drive. After moving the game to the internal drive, I've thus far been unable to reproduce the issue.

Makes me think there may be a discrepancy where the timer starts before the drive has finished retrieving the dialogue lines. Anyway, you may find some luck running Greedfall from a faster drive if it's on a particularly slow one.
