Controller not working for anyone?

Anyone not able to get controller to work? It's only responding to M&KB at the moment regardless what I try?

Found Temporary Fix:

Unplugged my Razer Orbweaver and restarted the game and now it is reading the controller. So some sort of Device priority issue.

PowerA Xbox One Wired Controller I just purchased this afternoon for GreedFall to replace my older one. Been using it in Dauntless past 2 hours waiting for launch so know it's good and the computer is reading it.

Forcing it on via the Properties in Steam makes my Xbox One controller work. That seems to do the trick with most games that don't auto-detect pads.

steam big picture says my controllers there and active ,..but no luck in game.

ya it not working for me ether i did find a weird as hell work around for me at least had to enable it in the steam setting then here the weird part once i got in game had to bring up steam overlay click the config options for controllers it would bring that menu up in the background as long as that was open my controller worked but if i close that it stops reading it again that some weird way to detect a controller and it only seems to half work so this does not work ether least not fully.

edit: and now for some weird reason my controller now randomly decides to get picked up by the game so for me at least seems like the game has a hard time picking up that a controllers in use.

I use a Steam controller and play the game with Steam Play/Proton on Linux and for me the controller worked completely as expected.

Hope you people can get your problem solved.

Xbox one elite controller here using the Microsoft wireless adaptor, working fine.

I have Xbox One, Dualshock 4, and Steam Controller and none of them work.
Turning on the controller before or after starting the game makes no difference
