really if the design of the corruption or whatever at least looked better. i was hoping to find a mod to fix it. my cousin was making fun of the game saying his character had poop on his face, come on.

Yeah, it looks like ♥♥♥♥... literally. I used a mod to remove it myself. There are a few on nexusmods.

It's not corruption. It's a mark, one that represents their bond and connection with the island which is gained through a ritual or inherited from their parents. Because it is a spiritual link to nature, its shape is supposed to take on the appearance of roots. But unfortunately, it does not look aesthetically pleasing... not one bit. It really looks down right awful.

There is a story behind it and it is part of the narrative. If you are patient enough to go through the story you will be rewarded with an interesting twist.

i mean i'll still play it. just wish it had a different look. maybe i'll give the nexus another look to see if there's any different styles of it or something.
