I'm so disappointed! NOoo!
I just watched this awesome commercial for GreedFall and was like omgosh, how awesome! However, upon finding GF here on Steam I find it isnt co-op/multiplayer!

DEVELOPERS EVERYWHERE! Many of us are worn out on playing single player rpgs and all the while arguing with family and friends because they are left out or bored watching us play for hours. Seriously! Please start making these great rpgs co-op/multiplayer so that we can enjoy them with friends and family. Either online or local, either works, just as long as we can include others and no longer be the anti-social gamer because the titles we enjoy are single player.

I was going to rush right out and pick this up this week, but now that I see its single player I will wait until it starts to become discounted because I can not enjoy this with my wife, friends or any one of my 2000+ org-discord pals.

Many Thanks,

The desiring to be social gamer!

Edited in: Neverwinters Night (Bioware) was and still is a very successful single player, multiplayer and co-op (possible) game that gave a great story and experience with an awesome and yet to be matched toolset for custom community content. So a game doesnt have to be single player or else its ruined. It can be all: single player, multiplayer and/or co-op and still be awesome!

Note: edited to include co-op mode and to include a GREAT example of a game that was/is both single player, multiplayer and co-op. Toxic (flaming/insulting/abrasive) communication will be blocked as it is not healthy to the community as a whole and it's against forums guidelines for use.

Proper true single-player RPGs are rare these days since witcher 3, so i'm happy this is one of them. And apparently, from the answers in this thread, i'm not the only one.

i also made a post similar like this - this game was made for a rly small audience

- a baby audience

Just because it doesn't suit your needs, it doesn't mean the audience is small. Get a grip, the world doesn't revolve around you.

Dude what are you on? Literally EVERYTHING is multiplayer these days... It's actually refreshing to have something completely and wholly dedicated to being single player. Too many times have I seen the single player part of a game suffer due to the redirection of resources to or the influence of multiplayer. And in most cases, multiplayer for single player RPG's don't work well. An example is DA3 multiplayer, it was dull boring and grindy. It would have been better if it didn't exist and they put more effort into the single player. Games like Divinity: Original Sin 2 however work well with multiplayer as the game is built around a similar system and it translates well to multiplayer. So DnD or coop work well with multiplayer, ANYTHING else is a big no.

Funny considering a study done in the last couple years states the complete opposite. People are getting sick of MP games because of greed, annoying players, unfinished products, toxic players, etc. I think you need to do more research before posting this dribble OP.

I feel you.

I guess it's just too hard to strike a good balance between an excellent single-player and co-op elements. People get up in arms real quick if you all but mention a desire for co-op at all because the assumption is the single player experience simply must suffer as a result.

I'd like to see this proven wrong someday but it's very difficult to implement well on a technical level I think.

I too would love love love for more co-op options in rich rpg worlds. Honestly It's one of the things I've been hoping for for years and years. You're not alone ;)

Anytime coop or multiplayer elements are inserted it is always nearly at the expense of story and solo play.

Hell I didn't pay one once of attention to this game until I found out it was a single player RPG I'm so sick and tired of multi-player games these days I stress out about enough crap in my daily life as it is, Playing a single player games by my self alone to think and relax is all I want in a game these days.

Ever considered some of us are sick of all the multiplayer only games?

Though, if it was like Fable 3 multiplayer I wouldn't mind TBH.
