Hi everyone. I have been playing GreedFall for about 20 hours now. My game started crashing recently while playing, everytime. The error that occurs is Fatal Application Error Out of Memory. I dont know what this means or how to fix it. I was hoping that someone out there has experienced this and knows how to fix it. If so, please let me know. Thank yoiu

Without knowing your PC's specs, my only guess would be either RAM or VRAM not being sufficient (or faulty).

What PC specs do you need to know?

click on steam help then system information. copy/paste everything here.
perhaps your graphics are set too high and your graphics card cannot run it that high.

possibly. Primary VRAM: 1024 MB your card is newer than my 7 year old graphics card. probabaly has more than 1gb vram. I have 2gb. perhaps your game is using your intel hd graphics and NOT your nvidia 1060? i think a 1060 has 6gb vram. use windows task manager then click on performance tab then scroll to bottom and click on nvidia gpu - should tell you how much. (slim chance your card memory is fried/bad)

my nvidia 750 ti with 2gb ram reports Primary VRAM: 2047 MB. I looked at other steam users with nvidia 1060s and saw they report Primary VRAM: 6143 MB. you did check and make sure game is using nvidia card and NOT your motherboard graphics? perhaps someone else knows why your 1060 steam system info reports 1gb - doesnt seem right.

never used this but might try method #4 nvidia here:

I started playing GreedFall again in order to see if whatever was causing the "memory error" had gone away as if it was a temporary thing. And it did, and it hasn't resurfaced. I dont know what caused it, but I thank you for your help. I really appreciate it
