Companion quest cannot affect dismissal as far as i know
I can normally do it but Vasco has a lock symbol next to his name :/
This game is great but this is a massive flaw.
A companion quest must be completed, if it was accepted. Vasco is a quite capable companion and the Nauts do not have conflicts with the other factions, i.e. taking him with you does not hurt the story or gameplay.
Just in case, if you have not accepted a companion quest, you can delay it almost as long as you want (there is one exception, where the quest fails and something usually undesirable happens), but it is strongly recommended to complete them first.
Well I'm anxious as the boss in question is one of the special bosses you need to collect the dudes notes for. And now every character is giving me a quest of their own but I cant do them because I'm "busy" but at this rate I'm always going to be busy because as of now there is no way I am going to beat this monster. Hopefully there is no time limit to do other characters quests?
And certain companion's cooperation during a faction-related quest might depend on completing their quest line first.
