You are the same.
Maps are not made to be open-world style or mazed, it's about some exploration and atmosphere which is very well made and anyway, it's an indie, not a huge budget game and it's still pretty good for his kind. Yeah, not like The Witcher 3, Half Life, or any games who are the most known but who care, you could play Fortnite as well in that case.
You are comparing it with Ocarina Of Time, you are just all wrong, ask to Nintendo a new Zelda or something idk but don't come here to share your hate just because you are still waiting for some new games, that's so bad and egoist.
The game can have a few flaws (which i don't care so much because it's good enough for me) but it's good and i hope for a sequel or something with more dynamic/fast fights with a few more epic scenes in the scenario maybe.
Or at least an expansion until it can be done a sequel, hopefully!
See you.
In my "critique" I have not talk about bugs, however it is the cause of the majority of my frustration while playing
The game, as several in the game industry (
I see a game of potential
A game who can talk about conolialism, heritage, culture, dogma, etc etc etc
But in the end flight over the subject and give us a correct entertainment
Reason number one why I recommend this game is the level of gaming entertainment one can get out of it in multiple playthroughs with different player character progression and different choices throughout the game. What is implemented works well enough for me (and I was curious enough to start as a magician), story and NPC interactions kept me interested till the end. It would simply not be fair to tear it into pieces. It's not a boring cinema simulator where you only play a few minutes before being shown another cutscene.
However the story is there but spiders just need to hire someone who can do combat because it's boring as ♥♥♥♥ I mean realy terrible to the point I actualy try to avoid people if I can so I dont have to fight them.
Civilized people = bad, Savages = good... in the end i replayed the game pissing of natives as much as possible just because my character was so fed up the above clichés !
Pretty reductionism,hey....
But it is more complex I think. Civilizations want expand knowledge, wealth, power, and pretend use force or coercive movements in new territory to obtain what they desire. Costs? Nothing..., nothing... lives, slaves, traffic with natives to sexual purposes, experiments with natives, destruction of wildlife,
imbalances in the environment, elimination of sacred monuments to native culture, torture, persecution of beliefs (with consequent methods of Inquisition to any person that want maintain his own faith: fire, tongs, stake, etc....
Sure, not all civilized people in this game are "bad", but the majority are scum(cause they are monster, like Geralt would say :)
And natives are the people that try protect their children, their lives and their nature from the such bad people, but yes, some natives can be far from honor too (it is not the case of the vast majority).
See you!
People were starving. GreedFall was the best tasting cracker they had all year.
Yeah it needs a bit of polish but seriously Spiders have done an excellent job. Stop comparing it with past games which to be honest are no better.
(And I like the earlier games as well).
1. The combat system was very well crafted, allowing timing to matter while creating opportunities to have fun.
2. The story was immersive. You could begin to feel for the main character.
3. What do you mean blazeh, is this blasé? But it follows some, not so, and is very confusing.
4. I hate all Zelda games, I find them terrible. But I did enjoy Super Hydlide on my Megadrive. (well, as far as I got because the shop assistant dropped it and I swear that's the reason it wouldn't let me past a certain point).
The game is great, forget trying to claim it is not, because the aesthetics ARE mediocre as they put their resources into great combat, immersive storylines and a game that has gameplay first.
I agree
And for me the story is not particuly immersive
@HUNK : It is not the same studio who made Vampyr, Focus is only the publisher on this *two games
