This or Outer Worlds do you prefer as an RPG experience?
So which one do u prefer as an RPG experience?
i haven't played greedfall yet but outer worlds was a disapointment.
while the dialogue and setting was fun. the combat and character building was atrocious as well as the variety of weapons, enemies etc.

I haven't played TOW yet (waiting for patches), but GreedFall is more on the "action", than the "RPG" side. Still, it's a good game with engaging combat and interesting story. The gameplay is similar to the previous Spiders' games, backtracking included (though, it's less irritating this time). I'm quite sure that the game was translated from French, so there are some odd sentences and inconsistencies.

I can't get through The Outer Worlds.

The combat is mediocre - and quite dull.
The armor and loot variety are severely lacking.
The story is absurdly cliche.
There's no point to looting because you're just picking up the same set of guns/armors (I am level 13 and using the same guns/armor that I found at levels 1-5....and yes, they are the same type/model as the ones in vendors and chests..and yes...the guns I have are better).
So far the companions I have are laughably archetypal and lacking in originality.

So, I have no motivation to carry on - as there's no point to any of it.

I ADORE rpgs, but after 10 hours of The Outer Worlds...I can safely say it's boring and I don't feel like I am missing anything by ceasing my playthrough of it.

I enjoyed Technomancer’s combat . Is it worse in this game? The only thing that I hated on technimancer was the hit markers. The enemies could hit me from far away on melee

I found Greedfall more classic RPG, although, a little repetitive. Greedfall is more robust. I finished OW in 20 hours, seems like half a game but it was very fun. I would put both games at 8/10 for different reasons. Greedfall felt more like a new world, while OW was Fallout in outer space. Both were fun games. I would like a little more companion bonding in both games, and an ability to build up your a home base or the ship in OW. Enjoyed both.

outer worlds is just andromeda crossed with no mans sky but with all the vehicals and fun taken out.
theres no game+ either so the end is the end.
ive just finished outerW,tbh i rate it 6/10 at best,,,good job it came out on epic store, itd been ripped to shreds in steam reveiws.

Why not both?

I like Greedfall more. I like the setting and the story more :D

I mean I havent played Outer Worlds and probably wont for quite some time what with Epic bribing them and all. Once you sort through the Obsidian fanboys it comes out to being an alright game apparently with some flaws.

I'm 100% agree with you. Uninstall it after 20hours and don't finish it.. don't care
So, i'm interesting by Greedfall...but not for this price

yeah i did the same. the moment I entered Byzantium i was so bored and i rushed everything just to finish it. if i paid 60 euros for this game instead of RDR2 i would be so pissed at myself.

i cant understand how people compare tow to fnv fo real. fnv has depth in everything even combat for its age, while tow is just a mediocrity in everything.

will Greedfall satisfy my rpg hunger? or it will end up like TOW where it becomes so boring that i will need to rush it

Finished both, The Outer Worlds is better in my opinion.

Greedfall is better for me and much more satisfying overall. The Outer Worlds is okayish and fun to play, but it never really made me care about the plot or characters the way Greedfall did.

2 completely different games. Both great . I would play both. You can play Outer Worlds for $1.00 by getting the Xbox game pass in the Microsoft store. It won't take you a month to finish it. Then cancel the sub and play Greedfall. Win Win.

I haven't played Outer Worlds and will probably wait for it to hit Steam unless I get very bored, but I feel like they are too different to really compare. As to whether Greedfall will satisfy you, no one can really answer that as people are different. I thought it was a great game and thoroughly enjoyed it. Obviously I have my complaints, but everyone has them about every game. Some people feel they lack obvious agency and meaningful choices - which isn't to say there aren't any.
anaphylactic god Nov 6, 2019 @ 4:41am
why would you play any of those for RPG experience?
you want rpg ? download underrail
