A lot of details about the game is here (translated):

I think that the name "GreedFall" is inspired by Silverfall which is older game from the same devs.
Thank the heavens that Spiders has competent and fun combat in their games. Bad combat and AWFUL rpg progression is PB games downfall and whats holding them back. Spiders knows how to create both, and make them fun.
PB downfall wasnt the RPG Progression, they were Translating from German which is VERY hard to do for Gaming, especially back when they started with just the Gothic series. The coding transition was very difficult which had a lot of errors; Thats why the game was super unstable in the NA releases and crashing all the time.
Silver Fall was an ok game. Not the best, but I would say its an almost underdog title.
Everytime I look for Gameplay of this game, Greedfall, its met with the same 45 seconds of looped footage in every video that shows pretty much nothing except a section of linear walking, a clip of a minor boss fight that has nothing going on, and a part of one of the first original cinematics
Sorry but the translation isnt hte problem with pb games, i didnt even notice. Its unanimous other than hardcore fans, PB games progression and combat is the main reason for its negative reviews. Go look at them yourself.
I played Every PB Game since Gothic 1. Yeah the combat is different, thats just modern reviews complaining about it. Its in no way intuitive in todays RPG standards. I will agree there. Go back to the earliest reviews. The issues from their forward dictate that the problems were the crashes from the coding and translation. Ignore the Forsaken Gods xpak for G3... its non-cannon and terrible, even with the community fix. Oh yeah thats the other issue, they used the same engine for Gothic 1-3 & Risen 1, maybe Risen 2, i forget. They at least updated the engine for Risen 3. Arcania is non-cannon too.
