Other Faction Zones

When I got this message that entering other faction zones could get me attacked on site or I can put on other faction disguise, this really made me pause for a while. It is a very poorly worded message with no visible feedback what it means. I spent time looking on the map and in character view for something, anything that shows me borders to represent a zone...nothing.
Turns out, by zone, the developers meant, a building and it's surrounding property. Usually has a door with a guard in front of it and patrolling guards around. I have not tried sneaking, but I do have a Daunt/Sailor Coat, which acts as a Daunt disguise to let me wander around. What makes this poorly implemented is, there is no feedback when you enter or exit the area, even when you're already wearing a disguise.
