Have the first Quest Bug

Hey there, i have now the first Quest Bug, Cant end the Quest because, there is no Option for a Choice.

Its the Quest with the Smuggler, here you see it on the Screen.

Edit: cant do anything, ESC not working so i think , i must restart the Game and what if seen, there is not Automatic Save Funktion.

u so lucky i did found 3 bugs before..best is..when no other solution start new game "grawk" and when ever u did finish a quest make a savegame...

Do you have the key to the cell (from the harbourmaster's office)? IIRC he won't help unless you agree to let him out.

Can't find constanins clothes? I think it was suppose to be in a chest but i already looted it.

I didn't even have to talk to the smuggler to finish the quest....

Thank you for reporting this issue.
Sorry you’re experiencing issues with the game.

Could you detail the steps to reproduce the issue? Especially which objectives of the quest did you do (for example : did you find the key to the cell, did you try any special choice ...)

Also, Could you send us your save file? You should find it here C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents\GreedFall using your File Explorer. We recommend making a manual save (with this type of name: save_xx-xx-2019_09-53-26.fsav) and sending it instead of sending an autosave file.

Using a file sharing site like WeTransfer.com is fine or you can send the files to [e-mail].

On that note : there is an autosave function that should save when you reach a milestone in a quest, or whenever you enter a new location, up to once each every 5 minutes.

Did you try opening the cell? I finished the quest without his help but I noticed that when I did find him I could not talk through the bars. I had to open the cell.He can't help while still stuck in jail

How you can see on my Screen, there was not any one Option to do anything. I must end with alt+F4,. But after the restart, Quest is go on where i start it again.

hmm.. i didn't have to talk to the smuggler at all while doing the quest to find the cabin boy i found the smugglers diary in the same area were the female sailor was. after that it send me to were to go next after my follower suggested what/were to do next. hope that helps.

i noticed that alot of the quests have helpful things for other quests or for each quests in the area laying around. oh and check with the local store he/she also sells any quest items you would need to use to complete most quest...notice this after i had finish all the quest in the first area.

i also had choosen my first skill to see/notice things that others didn't. don't know if thats why i keep finding helpful things lying around or i'm just super detail(like exploring/investgating things fully.

If you looted it just switch to him and give him the clothes , should be a coat, boots and gloves iirc

Sry but i think, my English is too bad to telling you that all with the right Words :). But i fix it if i leave the Game, must do it with alt + F4 and Restart it, than i go to the Smuggler again and the Quest is go on without this Problem .

The cell door is to the right of where you are looking in that screenshot. You won't get the door options looking at the smuggler because he is not in front of the door.
